I swear I was watching one of these two teams play tonight. This game reminded me of Detroit's Sunday Night game last year against New Orleans when they kept committing mental mistakes. Hopefully Houston can fix the mistakes next week against Baltimore.

Never seen such a discipline football team look such the opposite in a while.

I was thinking about the Cowturds. Everyone is talking about this defense and how badly they played, I don't think so. All of the "the pack is back" talk is a bit early if you ask me. There isn't an offense in the league that wouldn't have shined today. We flat out gave them 18 points with penalties. To start the game we have them dead to rights, 3 and out and a punt... and we line up offsides. You can't do that against the browns, much less the packers. A few drives later, we get an unsportsman like conduct penalty... that's a 11 point shift right there. You cannot put your defense int that position over and over and expect to win. There were two other drive extending penalties this game that are escaping me right now... but you cannot do that. I don't know if we were flat, if we were not focused.. but those penalties killed us. The worst was the start of the third quarter. Instead of a 3-4 minute drive that ends in 3 points it winds up being an 8 minute drive that ends with 7 points. We committed two penalties that extended the drive, one on fourth down and then again on 3rd down. Are you kidding me? We added SEVEN downs to the drive. SEVEN.

Go get focused and come back and kick ass next week.

Mike

Exactly! These stupid mental mistakes cost this team tonight. Getting off the field as a defense is the goal and there were too many penalties that continued Green Bay's drives tonight. Posey lining up offsides continued a drive, Barwin leaping over the line on that FG attempt continued a drive & Manning punching the GB player all allowed Green Bay to score more points in this game. All were mistakes you cannot make if you want to win a game.
