Let's sit and just look at these stats...

7.5 Sacks in just 4 games. That's unheard of for a 3-4 DE! Damn JJ you are a monster. I'm so glad we have him on our side.

In many future games against opponents, you will hear sports announcers ponder, "Watt happened to the Texans' opposing offensive line?" with a response of, "Exaclty."

EDIT: I know, corny, it's been a long day.

Congrats to J.J. for a great start!

If he continues on his current pace, it might be considered one of the greatest seasons of any defender in NFL history. On pace for 30 sacks??!

The alltime sack record is like 23 or 23.5. That is one tall order to even consider but....who knows!

And it's not just sacks. This guy is the best all around defensive player this town has seen in....well forever? :kitten:

If he continues at this pace, he won't win defensive player of the year.

MVP!!

From McClain's blog (http://blog.chron.com/ultimatetexans/2012/10/j-j-watt-named-afc-defensive-player-of-the-month/):

In the Texans’ 4-0 start, Watt has 32 tackles, 7 ½ sacks, 10 tackles for loss, 10 quarterback pressures, five passes deflected and two fumble recoveries.JJ is having an epic season. But he has made 20 tackles (http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?tabSeq=0&season=2012&seasonType=REG&statisticCategory=TACKLES&conference=null&d-447263-p=3) thus far, not 32.

If you multiply each one of those numbers by 4 to give you what he's on pace to have by season's end, that would probably be the greatest year by a DE, and maybe any defensive player, in the history of the NFL! :kingkong:

Just outstanding and some well deserved recognition!

Player of the Month for September, October, November, December - good.

Player of the Month for January - better.

Player of the Month for February - best!

I don't think they have Player of the Month for February but Super Bowl MVP would do just fine! :)

The record is held by Michael Strahan - 22.5 sacks.

If he actually kept up this madman pace it would go down as the greatest season by an interior DLineman ever.

Just really awesome to have this guy on this team. Couldn't have picked a more classier individual either.

Just take a look at this vid.

With an assist by Favre.

Total bull**** move, IMO. Cheapens what the previous sack record holder accomplished.

Hated it then, hate it now.

I agree. I hope Watt can put the record at 25+ this year so that bs record can fall to second place.

Favre pretty much admitted it was a setup, iirc.
