As expected, New York Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum announced on Wednesday that wide receiver Santonio Holmes has been placed on season-ending injured reserve. The veteran receiver and Super Bowl XLIII Most Valuable Player sustained a Lisfranc injury to his left foot at the start of the fourth quarter in Sunday's 34-0 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

Wow, maybe enough to save Rexy's job?
The lisfranc part sounds familiar...

Yeah, that's the name of Rex Ryan's mistress.
I bet Rex tells Holmes that he knows a special therapy to make that foot heal up more quickly.

Holmes sucks anyways.
He's far far better than anything else they have at the receiver position though.
Its a big loss for that offense, no real playmakers left at the skill positions now.

Because of my own experience, I pay special attention to any player who suffers this type of injury. I hear that he's going to require surgery, which indicates the severity. Being that he's a wide receiver, I'll be following his rehab progress with extreme interest.
I'm sorry to hear this happened to him.

I was wondering why the team I'm playing in fantasy picked up Jason Hill. That explains .......... nothing really. Why would anyone pick up a backup Jets reciever the week before they play our defense, or pick up any Jets reciever anytime for that matter?
