Nick Scurfield just mentioned it on Twitter; Studdard is on the practice field now.

Studdard, who played at U of Texas, used to start for Texans before Wade Smith solidified left guard.

Texans have resigned G Kasey Studdard cause Thomas Austin has a hamstring injury.

Ugh. We seriously couldn't find a better camp body?

I don't know...looks like he's 'fine-tuning' that 'body' for camp.

As long as he still has that nasty streak, I'm fine with it. I don't think he was all that bad. Kinda like an interior Salaam... can do the job but upgradeable.

He looked even more sloppy out there and as a player I can't stand him.

Camp body hopefully. Surely the new blood will make Studdard a late cut.

That's what I'm hoping. Surely after all these years we can afford to put a better grade of football player on the sideline in sweat shorts every Sunday.

Has he even played in a regular season game for us? I'm sure he has, but the only image I have of the guy is exactly what you described.

In 2009, he was our STARTING left guard for 14 games.

Definitely had some fubar moments. I thought he was a road grater. didn't understand why they would put him on the left, where it appears we needed our more athletic linemen. I would have thought he & Winston would have been a pair on the right.

Nah. We'll be seeing more FOKers I'm sure. The next breaking story will be the Texans bringing back David Anderson.

Relax. If he makes the team he won't be starting.

He's not being signed as a starter.

He's a guy who was available, who knows the system, who doesn't have to be babysat by the coaches....which means camp, preseason games go easier.

In other words, no big deal.

Does it count that he comes off as a goober though?

Like that one tall white guy who played on Jordan's Bulls team...the dude who played 4 minutes in a whole year but yet would jump on the top of his chair (at the end of the bench) wave the towel and scream at the crowd and run out and hug Jordan and stuff? The guy who got to play in the last game of the Finals, in the last minute, with a 30-point lead and he just thought he was hot stuff.

Not everything has to be technical for a guy to garner some razzing. It's not a BFD, but news flash: Guys generally dislike characters like random Bulls dude and shirtless Studdard. It is what it is for many of us who feel that way.

Shirtless Studdard and Hot Tub Matty get the razzing. They own that.

He was also shirtless in the infamous Vince Young party photo that was at a club where every man had his shirt off.

BIZARRE.

Odd duck, IMO.

Eh, no more than a camp body like TC mentioned.

I will add, this dude has progressed the least of dang near all our Oline draft picks we've had the last few years. He's been with us for 5-6 years and still has the sloppiest technique every season.
