This is good and bad. Good because Tim Tebow will not play for the Jags and Jville will still be our home away from home.

Bad because IMO what the Jets were missing last year was Brad Smith and his ability to run that wild cat. They get that back with Tebow. Now Mark Sanchez will have to become a better QB or step aside and my money is on Tebow.

I don't know if I'm really a Tebow fan, but I like watching the guy play. I think he'll be pretty good over there if they get some decent receivers and if Shonn Greene keeps improving.

If not, then we can expect to see an awesome Rex Ryan flame-out. Either way, it'll be interesting.

So they shatter Sanchez's confidence with the Manning wooing, then try to build it back up with a contract extension, only to sign a QB who will cause fans to boo and harass Sanchez when he makes his first mistake.

The Jets have no idea what they are doing...

and I LOVE it! Tebow will be the Wildcat QB in Sparano's offense, which was gimmicky for that one year, then teams caught on and it failed. Now they need to come up with a catchy name for their Wildcat with Tebow. How about the "Wild Lamb of God"?

he must have a paper thin ego then. Manning is something everyone should have pursued if they didn't have top notch QB play. You just don't see HOF players totally Free in FA. Jets ran the wildcat quite a bit two years ago but their wildcat guy went to Buffalo....he's just replacing Brad Smith's role. I don't see how that should worry Sanchez if Sanchez is playing at a decent level. that said, I think its gonna be funny up there with all the weirdness of the Ryan/Tebow polar opposite personality thing.

I wonder if they are planning some sort of strange experiment where they try to build one competent QB out of two flawed QBs.

Take Sanchez ability to actually throw the ball, combine with Tebow's intangibles, and you have a solid qb.

I see this as a risky move on Denver's part. They're not even sure at what level Manning's going to be able to play. I think it would have been smarter of them to keep Tebow in-house.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the NFL has encountered "hangup language" that could nullify the Jets' trade for Tim Tebow.
Schefter doesn't have finite details, but the deal has not been approved by the NFL. Per Schefter, the Rams "could wind up getting back into play" if the trade is nixed. The Jaguars and Packers also had interest in Tebow. Stay tuned.

Lots of gold in this thread, keep it up! Here are the contract snag details:

I wondered why the Broncos never announced their trade with the New York Jets.

The Broncos and Jets agreed to a trade that sent Denver quarterback Tim Tebow and a seventh-round draft pick to New York in exchange for a fourth- and sixth-round draft pick.

The Jets even announced the trade on their twitter feed. And th-e-e-e-e-e-n someone in Jets’ management decided to look at Tebow’s contract. The Jets were apparently in too much rush to make a news splash for their New York tabloids. They didn’t look at Tebow’s contract until after agreeing to the deal.

Would you buy a home without an inspections?

The contract says any team acquiring Tebow has to kick back $5.06375 million to the Broncos in advanced salaries from the 2012, 2013 and 2014 seasons, according to an NFL source.

Tebow received $6.277 million in salary advance during the 2011 season. The breakdown of that advance: $1,213,750 in 2011 (the Broncos paid); $1,425,000 in 2012; $1,691,250 in 2013; and $1.92 million in 2014.

The Broncos expect the Jets to pay them back those salary advances from 2012-14 per Tebow’s contract. The Jets are balking. This deal may die.

If Tebow goes to Jax after this debacle, mark my words, people will claim (not jokingly) that GOD sent Tebow to Jax.

Btw, this isn't a poisin pill, for some reason he got an advance on future salaries, but his contract states any team acquiring him in trade has to pay back the team 5 million of that 6 he was given. I have never heard of anything like that before.

Tebow's brother says QB back at 'square 1' on deal

NEW YORK (AP) - Robby Tebow was all set to root for his brother, the newest member of the New York Jets. Now, he's not so sure where Tim Tebow will end up.

And, he's not alone.

Playing at a pro-am golf tournament at the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill in Orlando, Fla., Robby Tebow said Wednesday that he and the Denver Broncos quarterback thought a trade to the Jets was a done deal.

"Like he was signed, sealed and delivered,'' he said. "Apparently, they didn't read the fine print.''

The Jets announced early Wednesday that they had agreed in principle to acquire Tebow for draft pick as a complement to starter Mark Sanchez. Denver general manager Brian Xanders said the Broncos would receive fourth- and sixth-round draft picks, while New York would get a seventh-rounder - all in 2012.

But then Robby Tebow's phone started buzzing. Tebow Time on Broadway? Well, not quite yet.

"They're working on it,'' Robby Tebow said. "I think the Jags are back in play. We're almost back to square one.''

Jaguars spokesman Dan Edwards declined comment.

"We want to go where somebody wants him - that's where he wants to be,'' Robby Tebow said. "We'll figure it out. They're working on the contract; all those guys doing what they're paid to do.''

ESPN first reported that provisions in the quarterback's contract are causing complications in the completion of the trade.

The hang-up came hours after the Jets declared they were bringing the polarizing quarterback to New York. It's just another bizarre moment for the Jets, a team that has had its share of them over the years, conjuring memories of Bill Belichick's hiring as coach and his resignation one day later.

Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Namath, who led the Jets to their only Super Bowl title in 1969, was among those unhappy with the possible deal.

"I'm just sorry that I can't agree with this situation. I think it's just a publicity stunt. I can't go with it. I think it's wrong,'' Namath told 1050 ESPN Radio. "I don't think they know what they're doing over there.''

The Jets will have lots of explaining to do - no matter whether the deal goes through or falls apart.

As part of Tebow's $11.25 million, five-year contract he signed as a rookie in 2010, he had a $6.277 million advance due 29 days after the start of the 2011 league year. That money was paid to him in August after the NFL lockout ended. The trade hit the hang-up when the Jets apparently balked at repaying the Broncos more than $5 million for the 2012-14 seasons from that advance.

If the sides work things out, "Tebowmania'' likely would take over New York, just a few weeks after "Linsanity'' swept the New York area and the rest of the NBA with the Knicks' sensational Jeremy Lin.

Tebow, who became expendable when the Broncos signed Peyton Manning to a five-year deal Tuesday, would be expected to complement Sanchez, who received a $40.5 million contract extension, with $20.5 million guaranteed, earlier this month. Rex Ryan's Jets also had pursued Manning before bowing out on the sweepstakes when there was little interest by the four-time NFL MVP.

Tebow led the Broncos to the playoffs last season - along the way beating Sanchez and the Jets, who missed the postseason. But Denver executive John Elway believed Manning gave the team a better chance at winning a championship now.

For the Jets, Tebow would add a versatile dimension to the offense, including running the team's wildcat package - something new offensive coordinator Tony Sparano enjoys using. He would also provide a solid presence in a locker room that was rife with infighting last season - particularly between Sanchez and wide receiver Santonio Holmes.

No matter where he goes, Tebow will bring with him a flock of fervent fans for reasons that have to do as much with his faith as his football skills. A devout Christian, he's been a role model since his days at Florida, when he led the Gators to two national titles and captured the Heisman Trophy.

The Jaguars and general manager Gene Smith showed little interest in Tebow coming out of college in 2010, even though he grew up in Jacksonville and starred at nearby Florida. They passed on Tebow with the No. 10 pick, instead selecting defensive tackle Tyson Alualu. Tebow went to Denver at No. 25.

Last season, Jacksonville traded up to draft Blaine Gabbert and called him a "franchise quarterback.'' Gabbert struggled mightily, and the team blamed his problems on receivers and coaching.

Coach Jack Del Rio was fired in November, the same day the team was sold to Illinois businessman Shahid Khan. Before the Super Bowl, Khan said in a radio interview that he would have drafted Tebow and indicated he would consider bringing in Tebow if he became available.

"I share your sentiment,'' Khan said to a caller who said he hoped the Jaguars would consider Tebow. "When is the next time Jacksonville is gonna have an athlete like Tim Tebow?''

So it's pretty clear that any interest the Jaguars have in Tebow is coming from the owner and not the front office. Although the Jaguars haven't blacked out a home game since 2009, they have had trouble filling the stadium while missing the playoffs 10 of the last 12 years.

Tebow certainly would help, even if he's brought in to boost ticket sales and make the franchise relevant nationally for the first time since beating Pittsburgh in the playoffs in 2008.

But Jacksonville has no pressing need for another quarterback. The Jaguars signed Chad Henne to be the team's backup last week and have Dan LeFevour on the roster.

The Jets, too, have a few quarterbacks on the roster.

The Jets signed Stanton last week to be their No. 2 quarterback, ahead of Greg McElroy, the team's seventh-round draft pick last year. General manager Mike Tannenbaum said Tuesday that he was confident in the trio, but added: "I'll give you my standard answer, which is you never know if other opportunities present themselves. We'll always look at it. That's the standard line there, but we feel good about Greg, Drew and Mark, and see where we go from there.''

On Tuesday, Sanchez spoke highly of both Tebow and Manning on Fox Sports Radio in Los Angeles.

"I think Peyton is going to do great, and I think Tim is going to do great no matter what happens,'' Sanchez said on "The Petros & Money Show.'' "He can learn from one of the best quarterbacks to ever play or he moves on somewhere else and uses his skills at another ball club. He definitely has talent. He knows how to win. He knows how to impact players, so both guys are really in a good situation. It'll work out for both of them.''

The effect Tebow's presence would have on Sanchez remains to be seen. The Jets appear to be committed to him financially as their starter for at least the next two years, but a restless fan base that got down on Sanchez as he struggled late last season could call for Tebow to take over at the first sign of trouble.

Two minutes after the Jets posted the trade on its Facebook page, there were 874 "likes,'' 366 comments and 247 shares. Most of the comments ran along the lines of: "I might cry'' and "He is not welcome here, another terrible decision.''

Tebow's days were numbered in Denver when Manning chose the Broncos as his next destination. They are two entirely different quarterbacks and it made little sense to keep Tebow as a backup because the Broncos were going to have a vastly different offense under Manning, one of the most precise passers in league history.

Elway and Broncos coach John Fox called Tebow on Monday night to tell him it was possible he would be traded.

Elway said he wanted to do right by Tebow, who took over a 1-4 team and led the Broncos to the AFC West title and a playoff win over Pittsburgh.

"It would be our goal to get him in the best situation possible for him to have success also,'' Elway said.

From PFT:

The Wildcat isn’t dead, just ask the Jets
Posted by Evan Silva on March 21, 2012, 11:54 PM EDT

Mike Tannenbaum held a post-Tebow trade conference call on Wednesday night. Perhaps the most prominent theme of Tannenbaum’s comments involved the Jets’ big plans for the Wildcat package with Tim Tebow at the helm, and Wildcat aficionado Tony Sparano coordinating the new-look offense.

Tannenbaum insisted that the Jets “believe” in the Wildcat, and repeatedly called the offensive set “very difficult to defend.” Tannenbaum explained that Tebow will be at the controls.

“We have a vision for the player, we have a role for the player,” Tannenbaum said. At least twice the Jets’ general manager referred to Tebow as a “dynamic playmaker.”

From all indications, the Wildcat will be a huge part of the Jets’ 2012 offense.

Wildcat infatuation isn’t a new development at Jets headquarters. Head coach Rex Ryan wanted to run the Wildcat more as recently as late last season. Ryan even spent an entire week practicing the Wildcat leading up to an early-December game against Washington.

On game day, the Jets rushed seven times for 26 yards out of Wildcat formations, and beat the Rex Gr0ssman-led Redskins.

So in the Jets’ minds, at least, the Wildcat is actually far from dead.

Why all the Tebow hate? Just because he's not ashamed to admit he's a Christian? The media is a brutal, ugly business IMHO, and most of the negative attitudes stem from them. What exactly has the boy done to cause such nastiness. He's a QB in the NFL who wants a chance to prove he can succeed. He's not the only player who kneels and says a prayer of thanks to God above!! I just don't understand why so many fans detest him.

For a while, I didn't like him, but then I realized that it wasn't him or his on-field performance that bugged me. It was the media glory he seems to have always received.

Once I had figured that out, I moved past it. Still not a Tebow fan, but his media exposure for pretty good athleticism and winning, despite poor QB play, no longer grates my nerves.

Any chance that the NFL and HBO can get them to do Hard Knocks again for the 2012 season?

Tebow to the guys at practice:

Let's get the H out of this locker room and hit the gosh-darned field and beat those doodie heads! Guys? Hello? Where did everybody go? I was just about to lead us in a Bible study, too. Dang it. What I am sick of is the media coverage he gets for being a decent person and good man and a good christian, not for being a good QB which he cleary isn't. The hype is not his fault and I understand that. The media will jump on anyhting that gets ratings.

What I don't understant is why so many fans adore him for the person but can't see past his obvious flaws as a QB. And it is assumed that anyone who doesn't have a shrine to St. Tebow dislikes him for his religious beliefs.

No, Peyton doesn't get mentioned nearly as much as Tebow, and he earned the accolades he gets. He's a hall of fame QB and an incredible player. He's the headliner of free agency too, so I expect a lot of the coverage to die down now that he has found a home. Tebow won't die out for a long time, he has filled the void that Favre left, and the media loves it. I really could care less about the guy, but I'll be watching to see how the NY Jets circus goes this season. Rex Ryan turned the franchise into the Jersey Shore, but throwing Tebow into the mix ought to be entertaining. I'm hoping hilarity will ensue.

Brady I don't like because he's a stuck up ******* and gets preferential treatment from the refs. He does get a lot of media coverage though, but I think that has a lot to do with the Boston sports media.

If true Tebow is stupid. He would have been handed the starting job and he would be a hero of such magnitude they would have been ripping tarps off in Jacksonville. Instead he goes to become a trick pony #2 where if he ever starts the fans will eat him alive throwing 46% completions.

Also his running is on film now. You can see it last year that teams were getting used to his schtick. Other than NE his numbers tailed off heavily and NE was playing soft with a huge lead knowing he would never run them into a comeback.

Not being sarcastic at all. It's not his fault the media blows things up the way they do. How long has he been in the league, two years? He's had a lot of pressure put on him, just from the media blitz. It's the fans that act like fools, not him! I'm not saying I'm a huge Tebow fan either, really could care less right now. I do have a tendency to pull for the underdog though! :)

Maybe he chose the Jets so he would get less attention. Sanchez is their man, and he knows that. Maybe a good QB coach can do wonders with him, who knows. No hidden agendas in my post at all. Just asking a couple questions.

Pat Robertson weighs in on the Tebow trade:

Television evangelist Pat Robertson says the Denver Broncos didn’t show enough loyalty to Tim Tebow, and they may pay for it this season.

After the Broncos signed Peyton Manning and traded Tebow to the Jets, Robertson said he thinks it demonstrates that Tebow isn’t appreciated. And he said that if Manning’s neck injury keeps him off the field, the Broncos will be sorry.

“I think the Denver Broncos treated him shabbily,” Robertson said, via Mediaite.com. “He won seven games, he brought them into the playoffs, for heaven sakes. I mean, they were a nothing team. He rallied them together with spectacular last-minute passes and, you know, when they beat Buffalo — I mean, Pittsburgh, excuse me — it was a tremendous victory. And you just ask yourself, OK, so Peyton Manning was a tremendous MVP quarterback, but he’s been injured. If that injury comes back, Denver will find itself without a quarterback. And in my opinion, it would serve them right.”

The drama begins. This article is hilarious, it pretty much highlights how emotionally weak Mark Sanchez is and how Tebow feels he has a better shot at starting over Sanchize (who just received a huge extension) over Blaine Gabbert (who is arguably one of the worst starting quarterbacks in the NFL).

Report sounds like Tebow is coming after Sanchez

Mark Sanchez doesn't need this. Mark Sanchez doesn't want this. Mark Sanchez might not be able to handle this.

As if the New York Jets simply trading for Tim Tebow wasn't enough to keep Sanchez strung out, the New York Daily News is reporting that Tebow believes he can beat out Sanchez for the starting quarterback job.

Per a story in Friday's edition of the newspaper: "A major factor in Tebow’s push to come to New York over Jacksonville, his hometown, is that he sees a clear path to resuming his career as a starter, sources tell the Daily News."

That thud you just heard was Sanchez punching a wall.

Look, the Jets can slice it, dice it and spin it any which way they want, but there's no way around it: They have a Category 5 quarterback controversy on their hands. Mike Tannenbaum and Rex Ryan can call Sanchez the starter until they're blue in the face -- nothing's going to diffuse the situation.

And if Tebow is gunning for Sanchez's job, not understanding he's the backup ... that definitely ramps up everything to the next level.

Can training camp hurry up and get here already?

Up goes the first Tebow billboard in New York (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/03/24/up-goes-the-first-tebow-billboard-in-new-york/)

It’s only a matter of time before someone puts up a billboard in New York (possibly Times Square) urging the Jets to bench Mark Sanchez and roll with Tim Tebow.

Two days in advance of the most anticipated press conference for any backup quarterback in NFL history, the first Tebow billboard officially is in place, according to the Newark Star-Ledger.

As of 12:00 p.m. ET Saturday, Jockey placed a billboard outside Lincoln Tunnel. Bearing a picture of Tebow’s face, the billboard says, “We support Tebow & New York.”

In a statement released by the company, Jockey said that the billboard “plants a stake in the ground that NYC is now officially Tebow-country.”

Mark Sanchez most likely does not approve of this message.

Message to Jets FO.............BEING STUPID IS ITS OWN REWARD!

Tim Tebow greeted by anonymous griping from Jets teammates (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/03/25/tim-tebow-greeted-by-anonymous-griping-from-jets-teammates/)

Mark Sanchez, you’re not alone anymore: Your new backup quarterback is being questioned by anonymous quotes from teammates, too.

Tim Tebow’s trade has just become official, and already unnamed Jets players are talking to reporters about why they don’t think it’s going to work. A New York Post story this morning is headlined “Some Jets wary of Tim circus,” and details that a number of players who will share the locker room with Tebow don’t think he belongs there. None of them, of course, were willing to put their names behind their opinions.

“Several current Jets, who spoke with The Post Saturday, asked not to be quoted but expressed disbelief at the team bringing Tebow in,” the story says. “The idea of a backup quarterback having a press conference is something they can’t wrap their heads around, and they know it’s just the beginning.”

The Jets have led the league in anonymous quotes since the season ended, with unnamed players opining to reporters about topics like Sanchez lacking the leadership the team needs and Santonio Holmes being a divisive presence in the locker room. That has led to a backlash, with Sanchez ripping anonymous sources as “gutless,” and Jets coach Rex Ryan saying anonymous sources don’t speak for the team.

But anonymous sources do speak for themselves. And some of the anonymous sources in the Jets’ locker room apparently don’t think highly of either Sanchez or Tebow.

This morning's SportsCenter said that CNN and even FoxNews have satellite trucks at the facility. The conference is being held in the indoor field house because it's a larger turnout than they traditionally have for Jets pressers.

If Mark Sanchez doesn't ask for a trade, he's a moron. Period. You can't swim against the Tebow tide. You have to let it carry you out to sea and hope you find some driftwood to hold onto. Sanchez is so screwed if he stays.

Schlereth throwing Tebow under the bus big time. LOL!

"Mark Sanchez is a better QB than Tebow. I have watched many Tebow practices when he was in Denver. He couldn't complete lots of different passes against the Broncos' own secondary players, which says a lot. That is very troubling."

Oh man, this is an alternate universe or something. Is this really happening? Is Tebow real, is my face real? What a strange era in football--Manning in Denver, Sean Payton banned for a year, and Tebow in NY. LMAO.

Brett Favre is seething somewhere in Mississippi right now. He's been eclipsed.

FYI: Schlereth still banging hard on Tebow. He's saying the ONLY thing this acquisition represents is attention-whoring by the Jets. "This is not a football move. It's a get the page 9 in the NY Times move."

GP
03-26-2012, 11:34 AM
OK, here's my shot at typing out what he said at his presser:

He says a few sentences and then says, "First and foremost I want to thank....the Broncos and my time there." Whoa! Had me going there for a second.

He talks like a teenage girl. Lisp, giggling while talking, run-on sentences. Geez. I don't think this guy is the sharpest tool in the shed.

First question was about "How did you find out about the Manning acquisition, tell us about that experience." He says John Fox had a talk with him Wednesday morning, then almost immediately afterward Tebow had a phone call from Rex Ryan telling him (Tebow) that he was now a New York Jets player. Tebow said he was excited and wanted to take the first available flight out to see them in NY. Tebow said other stuff, but he was giggling and lisping and run-on sentencing, so I missed what he said.

Next question was "Everyone talks about how much of a competitor you are, and the Jets said they're bringing you in to back up Mark Sanchez, so as a competitor do you want to be a starter...do you hope to be a starter?" His reply was "Everyone who puts on a uniform, you wanna go out there and you wanna play, that's the way you play the game of football. I'm excited to be a Jet, to go out there and to help this team any way that I can. And whatever my role here is, however I can expand that role..you know, I'm going to try and do that. And every day in practice I want to go out there and compete, and get better as a QB, and figure out any ways possible to help this team in any way that I can." So, he had some good non-answer answers there.

Next question, "By all accounts, people say you're a very high character [person]--" Tebow interrupts and while giggling says, "It's not true." Crowd giggles with him, and the remainder of the question was "With the tension that might exist, and how it might stir up an already tense locker room...what does it mean to you, to hear that sort of thing?" Tebow responds, "Well, I really don't pay too much attention to it. I think the exciting thing is that me and Mark have a great relationship. We have had a good relationship for, I think, the past three years I think. We've been friends, we've texted back and forth, we've talked already, and ummm...uh, we're going to have a great relationship and a great working relationship, and I think we'll have a lot of fun together." What is interesting, in terms of non-verbal communication, is that his smile was gone, no laughter like he had in previous answers, and his eyes darted around all over the place during this answer. Licked his lips at the end of the answer, it was a nervous tick, IMO. Uncomfortable answering that question.

"Have you spoken to Coach Ryan about your role with the team, in terms of the number of touches...you could, by some reports, see as many as 20 touches in the Wildcat formations." he replies, "Well, I have had time to speak with Coach Ryan, and I think a lot of it has to do with how well it works...at practice...umm, you're not just going to put something out there if it's not executed or working real well. It matters how well we do, and how well I pick everything up, and go out there and how well we're doing. My goal is to go out there and, umm, try to execute it as well as I possibly can, and improve every single day, umm, and really feel comfortable with role and expand my role by going out there and competing and doing well, and I think it's just exciting that, umm, he has faith in me and he believes in me as a football player and as a person to bring me and make me a Jet, and I'm excited about the opportunity." So the nervousness subsides, he's back to his safe answers and all is well.

Another question about if Mrs. Sanchez was upset about her role as NY Jets beauty queen and fashion czar now that Tammy Tebow is in NY. And so Tim replies, "When I talked to him, he was excited. And I am excited to work with him, and I have a lot of respect for him, umm, ya' know as a football player, as a person, he's always handled himself with so much class and integrity, and he's won a lot of big games as a quarterback, and I think we'll have a great working relationship...ya' know, we talked about that, and umm just supporting one another, umm, in our roles, and I'm excited about that opportunity. And I think we'll have a great relationship and hopefully we'll thrive together." Licks his lips at the end, pensive look on his face, no laughter or smiling during the whole answer. Eyes darting around everywhere. LOL. Not a good poker player.

OK, enough of the transcription of the presser. You get the jest of the new Jet: He's (a) excited to be a Jet, (b) will work hard to compete in his role, expand his role, help the team however he can, and (c) has a WONDERFUL and GLORIOUS "relationship" with Mark Sanchez and they will go on lots of shopping trips in Manhattan and see lots of Broadway musicals together. Yay!

John Elway is a genius.

Tebow gets booed at Yankees game

Posted by Mike Florio on April 15, 2012, 9:24 PM EDT
Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim v New York Yankees
While attending a Yankees game on Friday, Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said that the “feels bad” for “the Sanchez” because fans will be cheering for backup quarterback Tim Tebow during the first game of the 2012 season.

New York fans attending Sunday’s game at Yankees Stadium got a chance to chime in.

Art Stapleton of the Record reports via Twitter that Tim Tebow was shown on the large video monitor attending the game, and that his image was greeted with “loud boos.” Later, Stapleton explained it as “[f]aint cheers” and “mostly boos.”

Though we won’t know what the fans at MetLife Stadium will do until they assemble for a Jets game and Tebow trots onto the field, it’s safe to say that Tebow won’t be hearing many cheers if/when he starts burning worms and/or putting balls in the front row.

UPDATE 10:29 p.m. ET: The Associated Press item from the game also says that Tebow was booed.

More from NFL.com...
The ESPN broadcast showed Tebow, who wore a Yankees cap, chatting with Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade early in the game at their seats on the third-base line, by the Angels' dugout. Tebow's brother, Robby, later tweeted a photo of the action.*

Wade was also booed when he was shown on the scoreboard earlier in the game. But those boos quickly turned to cheers when Wade held up his Yankees cap.*

Later Sunday, Wade was asked via his Twitter account whether the boos were for him or Tebow.*

"Oh me 4 sure," Wade tweeted .*

I never thought too much about Sanchez, but I didn't really expect to see what I've seen from him this year. Do you think Tebow being there affected him?

If so, wouldn't that in itself say something about Sanchez?

I don't think that Sanchez was a pro-bowl QB or anything in previous seasons, but his play has undoubtedly regressed this year.

No one, even those involved know completely what the effect has been of Tebow coming in, but I would hazard a guess that a lot of this is because of the psychological crap caused by the Tebow circus.

Interestingly this season could destroy both Sanchez's and Tebow's NFL careers (Sanchez because be bombed, and Tebow because it is clear to most that unless your team is signing him as QB#1 there is going to be more trouble than he's worth).
