After at least 12 teams contacted Peyton Manning when he became a free agent, the former Indianapolis Colts quarterback has narrowed his options.

The Denver Broncos and Arizona Cardinals, the first two teams Manning visited, are considered his two likeliest landing spots, according to sources familiar with the situation.

The Seattle Seahawks continue to try to arrange a meeting with Manning, according to sources, but so far they have been unable to do so.

Manning still could wind up meeting with the Dolphins, but indications are that Miami isn't as high on his list as Denver and Arizona.

There always is the possibility another team suddenly jumps into the fray, thhe sources said, but it is looking increasingly likely there are only a few viable possibilities at this time.

One source who spoke with Manning prior to his visit with the Cardinals said "his gut is that Manning is leaning toward Denver."

The Broncos' advantages include Manning's relationship with executive vice president of football operations John Elway and coach John Fox and the fact that joining them would keep him in the AFC, where he has played all his professional football with the Colts.

Yet the Cardinals will make a hard push and put on what one team source said is a "Louisville-style full-court press." Manning also is close with Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt and has played golf with him.

Manning will be meeting with multiple high-ranking members of the Cardinals organization, including president Michael Bidwill, who sources say is determined to sign the former Colts quarterback.

Arizona is good. Keeps him out of the AFC. Denver, not so much.

Don't miss the end, lol.

Can't imagine what teams contacted Peyton if Denver & Arizona are the front runners.

Not like Denver and Arizona are bad teams to go to.

Denver overachieved last year. Even with Peyton they are not a super bowl contender. They need to make some more moves.

Peyton and the Colts were a machine. Yes, Manning was the engine that drove it. But, he had to have parts that fit what he does. Denver doesn't have those parts. A poor choice on Peyton's part if he chooses the Broncos.

I agree with Dutchrudder and Lucky somewhat. That Denver defense was legit enough for Tebow to be able to capture America's heart with his fourth quarter heroics. Unfortunately, Manning needs a solid line and I think Denver has a ways to go there. As for WRs... I think premeire free agents will flock to wherever Manning signs.

I'm thinking Peyton Manning signs with Dallas. Jerry Jones has got to be tired of Romo. Arizona and KC are where hall-of-famers go to die out.

Peyton Manning is so competitive, he flew from Denver to Arizona just to get that hour back.

Unless John Fox gives him the freedom to do what he wants to do & the Broncos go out & get Wayne & Garcon.

If anything can end this "Tebow-mania" I think it's Peyton-mania

at least or a little while.

I'm not putting any stock in any of this.

I remember last off-season Aso was going everywhere except where he ended up.

Denver, Arizona, Miami, and at least one other team are still in the mix.

Per Mort's Tweet, he'll be visiting with titans HC Munchak and Phins HC Philbin within the next 3 days. Visits will be away from teams facilities
