It's time to take the first poll on 2012 record. We can do it again after the draft.

Things to consider: Will AFC teams have a better handle on Phillips' defense? Have Texans broken the dam that was holding them back? Strength of schedule. Return of Schaub (?). Return of AJ. Needs vs available talent in draft. etc.

As you point out, there are too many unknowns to make any sort of decent assessment. And then there's the "what moves did everyone else make?" factor. That's just as important, if not more, as what moves we'll make.

I know it's boring during this time, but.... :shades:

It's too early to say, need to see what happens in free agency and the draft. Not only for the Texans, but also our division.

As some people are saying it will be clearer after the draft. But now I'm sorta thinking 12-4.

The one loss is against ourselves in our annual scrimmage.

I predict the Texans will play a 16 game season and make the playoffs in 2012. Anything past that I ain't saying until after free agency, the draft, and a few pre-season games.

I'm honestly fairly confident the Texans are going to handle business they way they normally have. I don't think the draft or FA are going to affect us much, as far as the make up of our team.

Now what happens to the other teams... that's a different question.

I mean, with or without Mario, we'll field a competent defense. But if he goes to Jacksonville, or Tennessee.... ruh-roh.......

If the Jags get a decent QB.. Brees.... Reggie Wayne & Mike Wallace... ruh-roh.....

But the biggest thing I'm worried about, is the Drama. How are they going to handle it if Connor Barwin takes some riskay pictures with some riskay people?

What if JJ Watt gets pregnant

What if Jacoby holds out for a new deal

I'm shooting for 9-7, the drama's going to be too much.

I had a nightmare that it was somewhere in the horror range I am hoping it was a nightmare brought on by quitting smoking. (everything was going wrong and I happened to notice the Texans standings)

As others, to many things can play out to throw predictions flying in one direction or the other to call at this point.

All things stay the same as this past season (- the injuries) for the first time ever, no REAL fear for the coming season.
