I am actually wearing a signed Alex Smith jersey. Three years ago I won it in a silent auction and had it displayed on my wall in my sport room. Most friends had said it should have been Gore instead, but, this jersey just might be gaining in value. In 9 seconds, it comes off and back to the frame.

It would have been nice if we'd seen an upset here and had a chance to play that AFCC at Reliant but this is good too. Hopefully this gets it through some thick heads out there that Denver's "GEICO caveman" offense isn't going to get them anywhere and that Tim Tebow is not the answer to anything QB related.

His performance last week was about a really badly beaten up Pittsburgh team not about some incredible "He gets it!" moment on Tebow's part.

I'd be thoroughly worried of how we'd cover these TEs.

We have a beastly LB corp, and four of them on the field in most instances. They won't be able to do what they're doing tonight, at least not if everybody came out with their A-game.

That's a pretty good defense getting nothing from the other side of the ball. They looked great against Pittsburgh but the Steelers are the walking dead at this point and getting old at quite a few positions. New England might not be the best defense in the world but they're more than good enough to shut down Denver's lousy offense. Wonder if Brady & Co. will hang 60 on them?

Tebow has 3 completions. Brady has 6 TD passes.

I know Tebow's led the Broncos back in quite a few games, but he's just not the QB of the future for them. It's pretty obvious. The Broncos defense is legit (well, maybe not this game). If I were their GM, I would make a run at Peyton Manning if the Colts decide to trade him. Would instantly upgrade them and probably make them contenders for a few years.

C'mon, even if Tebow did have a legit star wide receiver and a decent offensive line do you think he'd be much better? Maybe a slight improvement, but even teams with good O-line's have games where they allow pressure. Tebow still wouldn't be able to handle it. Put him on a team with legit weapons like New Orleans or Green Bay and I doubt Tebow would even come close to being an average QB.

That play reminded me of the Jim Marshall incident where he ran the ball to his own endzone by accident.

I've stopped taking pleasure in watching Tebow being effectively countered by a defense. I just feel bad for the kid now. He's trying his utmost, but he is more likely to get himself hurt than lead a comeback now. I really think it would be good for him mentally and physically if the Broncos pull him now.

Disagree. I think you stick this kid on the Aikman era Cowboys and he stinks it up. He's not an NFL quarterback and isn't going to be. Denver deserves some criticism though for foolishly turning themselves into an SEC offense to take advantage of his "talents". At first it worked like every other gimmick ever tried because people weren't used to it but tonight the Patriots are showing people why you don't run the option in the NFL.

Same weapons he had last week when he was throwing for 316 yards and the talk of the town. Different outcome when he's asked to play a team not wiped out by injuries.

I would take David Carr over Tim Tebow (I think). Tebow has the leadership skills that David Carr lacked, but Carr looked like a QB sometimes. Tebow doesn't.

If the Broncos were smart, they'd tell Tebow that he either convert to another position (tight end/fullback like James Casey maybe) or they're going to cut him. He's a waste of a roster spot as a QB.

hard to blame this one on the broncos defense. the offense has 14 plays for negative yardage. I mean really the broncos have 10 whole points. If the broncos could keep their D off the field for even 2 minutes at a time then the score wouldnt be near as bad as what it is.

The Steelers are probably shaking their heads in disbelief and trying to figure out how the Broncos beat them last week.

I'm shaking my head in belief that 3 of the 4 teams I've watched today have not played anywhere near a playoff caliber team's standard.

You didn't think the Niners and Saints did? I thought both teams completely played to theirs strengths. Niners got all those turnovers but had no offense until the 4th quarter. Saints did well offensively when they didn't turn the ball over, but their over agressive defense let them down in the end.

There's a good play. Timmy seems more effective when he throws on the move.

Steelers had more patients than Ben Taub...its no excuse but if the Steelers were healthy, no way the TebowNites would have won. Either way the Broncos need to get him Tom Martinez or even Ted Marchibroda (both very old) if they want him to continue as their starter.

This is probably Tebow's future. I'm not saying that he could never be a good QB...but he is severely limited by his lack of pure skill. If I were him, I would spend the entire off-season taking a proper three step drop and trying to throw a football through a tire. His passing mechanics are just awful.

The 4th quarter was entertaining for sure, but either one of those teams could have been dead in the water by that point.

The Saints were picked off twice, and lost fumbles three times. 5 turnovers (especially in the fashion that at least 3 of them happened) are not the hallmark of a playoff team. On the flipside the 49ers had a hugely ineffective offense until the final 2 drives - had poor play calling for 80% of the game, Smith was poor, receivers dropped important balls, and they let a 17 point lead disappear in a pretty soft fashion.

The only team I would be worried about the Texans facing up against from today is the Patriots.

They posted a stat last night, the Patriots D forced 20 turn overs in the last 8 games.

They didn't look like the league worse last night either.

The thing I took away from watching that field dressing of the Tebroncos was "Can you imagine what defense of either Baltimore or Houston would have done to them if New England was capable of that?"

Say a 747 crashes into the Patriots practice bubble on Tuesday and the Bronco's "advanced" as a result. Inconceivable destruction would result. That offense is just so damn stupid. It was like watching an old-school college team try to beat an NFL defense. The Patriots offense is a well oiled machine and I don't think either Baltimore or Houston would score nearly as much but damn, would Tebow even survive that game?

San Fran - NO - what a game! After NO scored that last TD, with 1:40 or so left, I told my wife that they scored too quick and gave SF too much time. Sho' nuff'...

Den-NE - That was more of a mental beat down than physical. Denver just looked lost in trying to stop Brady, and the Pats D sure didn't play like they were last in the league.

And I just don't give a crap. Who really cares? We won't be playing either team this year.

That was a fumble. If Arian Foster's catch and fumble against Cincy was a fumble, by god that was a fumble. I can't believe that call. Fawk these refs.

Yeah, I didn't think about that. However Baltimore isn't as innocent as Houston, remember they stole their current team as well. Browns fan would be hating life if the Ravens won another one. Personally I don't see that happening.
