I'll say one thing about Dom Capers & Charlie Casserly, they could identitfy a potential NFL pass-rusher even if they didn't know what kind of scheme he'd fit into where he'd be a success. Of course they drafted Babin in the first round back in 2004, but couldn't seem to assimilate him into their 3-4 defense. And when the Texans finally let Babin go (thru a trade as I recall after Kubiak took over), he floated around the league to several different teams before having a standout year and going to the PB while with the Titans. Today he's with the Eagles and he's leading the NFL with 18 sacks.
Wonder if Babin still lives in the Houston area and has that hunting ranch in Texas ?

When I see Babin having this much success, it irritates me more than anything. We invested a lot into that dude and gave up draft picks and he did nothing here. I heard from people that knew him that he partied a lot and didn't seem to take his job here that seriously at the time. Whatever it was, we were set back because of his inability to be a play maker after we invested in him, and he obviously had a lot of game the entire time.
Good for him, but I can't help but to be irritated by this.

He's good rushing the passer, but is absolutely horrendous against the run. The primary objective for the defense is to stop the run then pin the ears back to get after the QB. I'm not willing to sacrifice stopping the run for a few more sacks.
