I know there's a few guys on this forum that remember those songs 'cuz I saw your posts! You know who you are! Thanks for that from another "old timer." There may be snow on the roof top, but there's still a fire in furnace! I should know. I'm the guy that wrote and recorded both of those songs.

It was pure inspiration by a great team and great players. They told the story; it was just "channeled" through me. Now the muse has spoken again in the form of the amazing Houston Texans and their incredible season. It's a bonus for me that Wade is a part of this. What goes around comes around.

It's 32 years later and I have a new song to offer. It's called LIKE A PHOENIX (http://youtu.be/xoWQ7WtYgC0). Not great art, but from the heart. Please check it out. Let me know what you think.

Omg I love this! You need to send this into 610 and someone in the offices of the Texans! This is great!

Thanks! I've been sending it everywhere I can. Tweeting, emailing, message boards, Facebook - you name it. I'd appreciate any help getting to word out. Forward the link, call the radio station, etc. Every little bit helps. Thanks, Tom

Hey Tom I remember those songs! I also heard your song "Like a Phoenix" on Sports Radio 610 on the J&R show last night. Congrats for getting it on the radio!

I like it!! Would be better if he said/sang Houston TEXANS rather than Houston, Texas! JMO!

Great to hear it was played on 610!!! That ought to help get it out there.

I struggled with whether to say Texas or Texans... I finally decided that what the Texans were doing was so incredible that it lifted the entire city... The other reason was it says "rise again"... well, this is really the first time Texans have risen to these heights.

Anyway, thanks so much for listening and GO TEXANS!
