Yeah, we're lucky he dropped it, but still, we stopped them on a lot of drives today. They only got one TD, that's pretty darn good.

Considering they scored at least 26 their last 5 games, that's pretty damn good.

i agree, the falcons will look back at this game and kick themselves. The first quarter they had to easy wide open TDs and the ball was over thrown on both.

Hats off to Gary & Wade, if not for the long FG, a well-called game and everyone kept their heads cool.

KJ played solid all day along with the rest of the defense. They were playing zone so it's not ALL on KJ.

KJ was standing right by Julio, watch the replay it was a miserable attempt to break up or prevent the pass.

KJ's responsibility is his zone. On a play like that the guy should never be open. It's not entirely his fault, the next man should have picked him up.

But man, it's funny how we get a tough win against a good team and here comes the KJ sucks post. He even had a INT today but yeah, lets get on KJ.

Edit: As others have said. We stopped them on many a drives today. Our defense came to play and held them to 10 points. We won.

You know who this team reminds me of? It reminds me of the Houston Rockets team that won 22 straight games after their super star went down and won a playoff series after both stars went down.

This team has NO QUIT and..."For the first time in my adult lifetime, I'm really proud of my football team" (sorry, still can't believe that dumb*** said what she said)

next man should have picked him up ? KJ was standing right beside Julio, what you are saying makes no sense. KJ didnt pass Julio off to anyone.

I am very proud of this team. They are bad ass all the way around. The only thing that bothers me is, how much better they could be if not for all the injuries. :(

In any case, I have never been so psyched about the Texans. :texflag:

We are playing prevent. We are asking 7 guys to stop 5. There was another DB right behind KJ who was just guarding space. You know someone else isn't doing their job on that play when a WR like Julio Jones is wide open like that.

This team has like a million hearts not just one! Best win of the season imo. This game was a huge huge test for this team and they beat one of the better teams in the NFL. They went up against one of the so called top QBs in Matt Ryan and the defense did a great job of limiting him.

he was making sure julio didnt get behind them and KJ was in front, so when KJ is standing right next to the WR who is wide open it is someone elses fault ? No that is on KJAC we cant alwasy put blame on every one else for KJAC failures.

None the less we did get the win, and i am happy just saying that in a meaningful game Kjac has to do better than that.

And when Julio gets past KJ it's on him to step up and cover Julio. That's my point. When you are playing prevent there is little reason a player like Julio should ever be wide open, ESPECIALLY in the endzone. You hardly ever see that, you usually see at least 2 players nearly interfering with the WR. We can't always put the sole blame on KJ when something goes wrong in the secondary either.

dude they were half way in the endzone, Julio cant really get past him much, not to mention usually to break up a pass our make a play on the ball you need to be infront of the WR, Which KJ could of been but instead he stayed beside him. That was KJs responsibility Watch it again if u dont believe me, i have watched it like 15 times.

I'm guessing KJs only job is to be near the man. Which he wasn't, since Julio burned past him. The other DB can't guard open space. This is what I am saying, in prevent defense it's hardly ever on one man as you are putting it on. Everyone is playing zone and the whole purpose is to make sure they don't get a TD. The fact that Julio had a open catch that he dropped is a failure for the secondary as a whole, since they are playing zone.

Julio burned past him ??? KJ was standing in the end zone already, how can julio blow past our CB was is already in the endzone ? This was on KJ, but Julio saved KJ by dropping an easy pitch and catch ball.

See you are not seeing that in a prevent zone defense that KJ is not the only man guarding Julio.

Wow. You really think putting the word heart in your post makes it relevant to the thread in some way?

I'm pretty sure there are dozens of existing threads where you can go to slam KJ.

They should be pretty easy for you to find.

You can use the search feature of the forum, although it would probably be easier for you to just look through your personal post history. There ought to be a couple of hundred posts in there in dozens of threads that you've let us know how you feel about KJ.
Hell, you can even feel free to quote yourself, just to get things started.

Glad to be of help.

I really don't understand the hail mary in that instance. I saw our DBs & LBs falling back to the endzone I was screaming at them, "move up, move up"

There should be a play where coaches get three or four receivers to create a wall & then a 5th receiver would catch it behind those guys & run it to the end zone.

Like a punt return. Their chances of getting into the endzone (with a Julio Jones, Percy Harvin, Wes Welker type player) would be a lot greater than the hail mary.
