Actually its not. DR would have pushed Jackson into nickle rather than starter role. DR would not have been burned so many times and lost games. Without Dunta and only Jackson starting the D fell to pieces. It led to the firing of Bush and kubes being forced to go after Wade. Wade being a good DC recognized the quality of Watt and Reed.

Not having DR led to a defensive collapse but it allowed us to improve dramatically.
