VY threw a TD

VY - the most dangerous player in football (provided that the drive gets to start in the red zone, and nobody is saying anything mean about him in the stands).

Hey Vince, I don't care what they say about you, you're alright with me. Much love to you, too, Babin.:splits:

Skip Bayless is going to be proclaiming himself the greatest judge of talent ever on First and Ten tomorrow. He's going to be saying that VY and Tebow will be the two greatest QBs of all time because of their indomitable wills to win and their amazing leadership abilities and how that trumps being able to pass.

:vincepalm:

The Eagles rushed the ball 33 times for 4.1 ypc. They held the Giants to 278 total yards. The Eagles won the T.O.P. battle 36:18 to 23:42

Still, the QB play was crucial on at least 2 drives & detrimental on at least one other.

He no longer has the pressure of his home fans being a bunch of rednecks.
VY will be just fine.

So, question about a couple penalties in this game. During the 2nd quarter with 6:45 left on the clock, Desean Jackson catches a pass and is pushed out of bounds for a 50 yard gain.

V.Young pass deep right to D.Jackson pushed ob at NYG 48 for 50 yards (C.Webster). Penalty on NYG-L.Joseph, Illegal Use of Hands, offsetting, enforced at PHI 2 - No Play. Penalty on PHI-D.Jackson, Taunting, offsetting.

During the play there was an illegal use of hands call on the NYG during the play, but Jackson was called for taunting after the play was over. Anyone know why a dead-ball foul after the play is enforced as if it occurred during the play? I think it should be that the NYG penalty would be declined, 50 yard pass accepted and then a -15 yards pushes back the Eagles from there. At least that's what would make sense to me. Are there any other dead-ball penalties that are enforced this way? If he had scored a TD, would it have been called back due to taunting?

I was wondering the same thing last night. The "offsetting' penalties doesn't make much sense when Jackson's taunting came after the play was over.
