Leinart & Cutler looked pretty good their rookie seasons as well.

We'll see what Dalton does next year & the year after.

Dalton looks to be the real deal. The passes he has made this year are beyond WOW. Cam Newton was putting up numbers but Dalton is putting up WINS. My ROY thus far. Has his team in 1st place in a tougher division.

I agree. I'd love to have him as the only thing he's missing is experience.

He made a wild running backwards(dumb) play where he flipped his body, set his feet, and released the ball so quickly it made Dan Marino's head spin.

Yeah, the Bungles game will be a tough one for us on the road. By that time Lienert will have two games under his belt and will hopefully be up for it.

He's VERY smart, too. That Katy ISD education. Amazing how some rookies perform when entering the league. Who expected this from Dalton? With Locker's performance also, its looking like a pretty good rookie QB class (Newton, Dalton, Ponder, Locker).

you never know, we could be throwing Yates in this class as well?

Me either but everyone hitting the panic button is somewhat kneejerk IMO. I think Gary already has who he wants to groom as Schaub's replacement and personally after learning more of Yates' collegiate background appears to be a sound choice. I guess I'm saying I'll defer to Gary's experience in choosing QBs. IIRC after the draft Gary said something about being very pleased to get him and somewhat surprised he was still there.

I guess only time will tell, but that's my take.

Dalton has been wonderful all year. From the games I've watched the Bengals haven't asked him to do a ton, but when they have needed a play he has made it. He doesn't make a lot of mistakes which is all you can ask for a rookie, but then he makes some great throws as well.

Another thing that makes Dalton's job easier, certainly not to take away from him, is the fact that AJ Green is crazy good. If Mike Brown ponies up the money for Green in a few years, those two will form a nice connection for a decade or so.

What scares me now is that haul they got from the Raiders for Palmer. If they don't screw up the extra picks, that could be a beast of a team - they've got a lot of young talent on defense too to build around.

Too bad their Head Coach has zero discipline. I am tired of reading about thier player legal problems. What happened with the weed issue they had earlier this year?

Oh man, it didn't dawn on me that you were talking about TJ Yates. I really thought there was a promsing QB that went to Jack Yates H.S. I was like 'That's cool Katy and JY representing HOU.'
