That was a nice piece on Arian! There is so much to like about this guy, I can relate in many ways minus the athletic prowess....LOL.

You've done it Arian, you have proven the disbelievers wrong. But I am glad that you remain hungry and use it as fuel to strengthen your resolve. You're going to be fun to watch for a LONG time, thanks for being a Texan!

Wow, he came off a lot better here, more real, more genuine, than he did on PTI a couple months ago.

I feel bad now for being so hard on him then. Maybe he was just nervous.

I'll go sit in the corner now.

That was a good piece, glad I set the DVR to watch it.

I found it interesting to see that Arian still runs and holds the ball very similar to when he was in the pee-wee league.

And WTF, he rushed for over 2,000 yards in high school and they didn't think he'd be a running back? K-razy.

I don't twat either so I'm glad TMM posted about it coming on. I enjoyed it much. Did anyone else notice the look on that teacher's face when Arian said "Don't listen to grown ups"? I thought it was pretty funny. And many times true, like in his case.

I was telling my girlfriend about Arian...the philosopher, the good man, the twitter thinker...football player last.

She HATES football, but admitted that he sounds like the most intriguing athlete out there. They say the fruit falls close to the tree...bet he got those good qualities from his momma! (c:

I thought it was a great piece on Arian, and especially liked it from his perspective.

He's got personality, and in this day and age of hyper-sensitive marketing perspectives, it's cool that he's not afraid to let the world see who he really is instead of being controlled by what others tell him to be.

I will watch it with my son this weekend. Arian is one of his favorite players (along with AJ, Tom Brady, & Clay Mathews). There are a lot of really good lessons in the story.

I wish they had edited to hear what Foster said after "don't listen to grown ups", because I think his message was muddled. His point was don't listen to grown ups that tell you that you cannot achieve your dreams, but I think ESPN wanted to be cute about teachers' jaws dropping instead. Like Arian said, though, kids should be encouraged to dream big and go for it.

From the video:

You know, boys get to be a certain age where they need to be with their Dad.

Much respect to you, ma'am. There are a lot of ladies out there who cannot come to that conclusion, to the detriment of their child.

Yes there is. You have to wait about 18 seconds - past the multi-colored screen, past the next screen with text, past the black dead air and bingo............there's Arian:kingkong:
