Steelers quarterback donates $9K to Harris County Sheriff’s Office
HOUSTON -- The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said it will use money donated by a Steelers quarterback to buy and train a new police dog.
That would make 16 dogs on its canine team.
Steelers Quarterback Ben Rothlesberger was sacked five times and left last Sunday’s Texans’ game game limping, but apparently has no hard feelings because he donated $9,000 to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
“Big Ben,” as he’s known, said he’s committed to donating money from his charitable foundation to law enforcement agencies in every city the Steelers visit this season.
