Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Jason Hill is giving the New York Jets some serious bulletin-board material.

The problem is he may not even play to back it up at New York this Sunday.

Hill said the Jets’ success the past few years has been overblown because they are in the country’s largest media market, according to Tania Ganguli of the Florida Times-Union.

“This is a league full of great players. I think sometimes they get overhyped,” Hill said. “I talked to Drew [Coleman], Drew played there. He says it's just the aura of New York…They got a big media. That's not the Jacksonville paper, that's the big New York Times paper so they get more pub. That's what it is."

Hill then turned his attention to Jets Pro Bowl cornerback Darrelle Revis.

"I think the whole New York is overhyped," Hill said. "Him personally, he's a good player, Pro Bowl player, I'm trying to make it to the Pro Bowl, too.

I think they're good...and damn lucky, which is a couple of nice things to have going in your favor.

Note to self: If talking trash make sure opponent knows who I am.

“I don’t even know who that dude is,” a puzzled Revis said Friday. “What’s his name again?”

Jason Hill, one of the Jaguars’ starters who had four of his 55 career catches in six seasons last week.

“I have no clue,” Revis said. “I don’t know who he is. Whatever he said is what he said. That’s his opinion of us and we’ll find out on Sunday.”

Then again, maybe not. Hill is listed as doubtful on the Jaguars’ injury report for Sunday’s game because of an ailing hip.

“Well, he shouldn’t have been talking in the first place,” Revis said, “because he can’t back it up now.”

'Nuff said.

Revis won the match up without even touching the field it seems.

I'm sure his teammates who will actually play in the game really appreciate some nobody backup running his mouth about a very physical team that might kick their teeth in. You think he's popular in the Jaguars lockerroom?

Whoops. That didn't go very well for Jacksonville.

You think Jason Hill has a gag order put on him by the team this week? What a moron...

Well, he is right - the Jets are overrated. But he is still a complete id!ot. And the Jags are horrible. One more thing Jason Hill; good luck with your Pro Bowl quest. Although if you really really want to go to the Pro Bowl, I suggest you buy a ticket. Maybe Revis will take pity on you and give you an autograph.
