First one of the new football year released. Texans #17:Always a darling preseason pick. Could it be the year? Sure. Could it be another failure with people getting fired? Sure. (Kuharsky)

Hey, remember last year when we were 2-0 after duking it out with the Redskins and they had us ranked #3? Man, that was AWESOME!!!!!!!

That suggests we alternate between good and bad as opposed to remaining steadfastly mediocre. I'd say we're half way between j&h. 'Heckle', if you will.

He thinks our team is better than the Lions, Seahawks, Titans, Cardinals, Jaguars, Raiders, Dolphins, Vikings, 49ers, Broncos, Browns, Skins, Panthers, Bills, & Bengals.

I can agree with that, but definitely think the Titans & Jaguars are closer to us than most people want to believe.

7 of the 10 teams we face after week 6 are in that list, Tampa Bay, Atlanta & Indy are the two teams that aren't, & I don't think any of those teams are better than ours. They have had more success, but they aren't better.

The top 9 teams, I don't have a problem with. I can understand their line of thinking.

I do not understand San Diego at #10. Weak division, yes... doesn't make them a top 10 team.

Bucs, Bears, Chiefs.... I don't agree that they are better than we are... but again I can understand the ranking.

The Rams????

Seriously?

Titans? Nah, unless they get a ton of production from their draft picks, but I think the Jags can give us trouble. They always do.

You don't think Hasselbeck gives them a chance to be on our level? If they play like they did with Collins, but with Hasselbeck instead, I think they're going to be tough competition.

Kuharsky had us ranked 13th, someone else had us ranked 25th :wadepalm:

I could see them being careful on where they put us but to guess we'll get the 8th pick in the draft?????? Koolaid drinker or not, I don't think we'll be anywhere near that bad.

I think I hit 100 posts with this one :bender:

Hasselbeck has been a dink and dunk, low percentage, can't complete a season passer for three years now. What makes you think he is going to suddenly at 36 years old be a difference maker?

WOW, that's a good way of looking at it. I hope we can get off to a strong start and then take care of business on the back end like we should be able to!

Another way to look at it is that we have 10 games against teams that are "ranked" lower than us. Raiders in Week 5 and then the other two games against Tennessee and Jacksonville.

it seems like no matter what the situation is the teams in our divison always play has hard ..except form maybe that home Tenn game last year

but anywayz in these rankings the rankers never take a chance and predict the Dark horse teams before they happen IMO

I think the big unknown with the Titans is their new head coach. Who knows what big Bruce brings to the table.
Love him or hate him, Jeff of the pornstar 'stash usually kept a pretty decent defense and that usually kept his teams within striking distance of almost any game.
Can Coach Bruce do that?
I guess we'll see.
