This is the LAST weekend without football until Feb 5, 2012! As well as the next NINE YEARS!

Can I get an Amen!

Too early to start a gameday thread?

I never get tired of watching that. It's right up there with the run Earl had against the rams.

This is my favorite. It never gets old.

There are 6 defensive players around AJ and AJ knocks the LB on his butt.

While the ARZ reel is my fav too, this one here exemplifies Andre as a receiver. No doubt, my favorite catch all time from him. It's my desktop wallpaper being shown from the far side and he's all concentration...

Where does the man crush line end?

And to think, when we drafted him, behind "what's his name", I was calling Andre "Stone Hands" in the draft. ***** :toropalm:

Talk about versatility. He's a blocker, WR & running back all on the same play. He truely is the :king:.

By the way, why don't we have an AJ smilie?

They tried to make one but it broke the smilie screen. The screen could not contain his awesomeness.

Yeah, only if we can start getting some memorable moments in meaningful games. This is the year.

Mario ran about half a mile and still killed it in the backfield.

Real football starts September 8th. This is faux football. I can't think of any sport where I actually watch the preseason. Usually I just watch the highlights after the games and read about what people think. It's hard to care about games that don't count for anything.

IMO, pre-season isn't about the games. It's about individual performance. I love watching it. I enjoy watching and grading players drafted and UDFA's fighting for roster spots. I can do so without having the heartache and pain of our regular season games.

Heck, I'll be watching the televised game Thursday night. Seattle and SD, IIRC

You're just a dream killer!

I'm excited! I just want football, period. I was disappointed that there wasn't the Hall of Fame game on this last weekend. Not that I would have really gotten into it, but there would have been NFL football on my TV, and that woould have been a good thing. I can't wait for Thursday night, but I'm really excited for Monday against the J-E-T-S!

^^^ This for me.

I love watching the pre-season games to see if what we've heard about TC matches up with how they perform on the field.

I feel the same way. I used to feel like Dutch does about pre-season. But, as I get older, the passage of time seems to get quicker with each passing year. Now I see "football season" as something to be savored and appreciated, and that starts with position battles in training camp and pre-season games. We are watching individuals strive to meet potential, witnessing dreams being fulfilled and crushed, and like you said, we can enjoy a game without the pain of regular season heart palpitations!

Lots of folks say (and I'm guilty of this) that pre-season games don't count or they are meaningless. They are obviously with regards to records and wins/losses, but I have no doubt that the players on each team want to win. In the hearts and minds of players, these games mean something, especially the ones that are just trying to avoid getting cut and make the roster.
