#Texans DT Amobi Okoye for CB Asante Samuel? Makes sense, Houston switching 2 a 3-4 need for CB, we know the #Eagles good problem at CB now.

makes no sense what so ever, we're gonna release amobi and everyone knows it, why would the eagles trade a perennial pro bowler for a fringe d linemen?

Isn't Asante Samuel more a gambler type of corner, rather than a press guy? Is he really a good fit for our team?

He doesnt mention if they have even talked. Sounds like his opinion.

It wouldn't only include Okoye. More than likely a second or third round in next years draft plus Okoye would get him. Andy Reid is also a genius of a head coach, along with the Eagles organization knowing how to get players back on track. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if the trade actually happens.

One can only dream. If this trade went through which CB would we release??
We'd have the same problem as the Eagles plenty of CBs on the roster.

Asante's contract average 9 mil per year. Gotta mean no Vonta for sure right? So who would you prefer?

His contract is backloaded. He would make 5 million this year, around 8 million the next, and 11 million the last year. The Eagles paid a lot of the bonus and stuff off already.

#Texans DT Amobi Okoye will soon be released. No trade market for him, but the #Broncos do have interest in signing him if/when cut.

Over already.

I don't think Samuel is going anywhere unless the Eagles are just over the cap.

Sal Palontonio is reporting on ESPN that Samuel has informed Reid that he wants to stay on the team and not be traded.

This
Not sure how he'd fit into Wade's D

just saw Sal Palantonio (sp?) report from Eagles' camp that Samuel said he wanted to stay an Eagle. "he sees the people they've brought in to improve the team and he wants to be a part of it."

I always wondered if we could do across sports team trades, you know like a Philly Center and Philly relief pitcher in exchange for a Texans player and maybe even a Rockets draft picks?

If Philly get Okoye it would not surprise me if he has a monster season, like Jason Babin did last year for Tennessee (now also with Philadelphia).

I'd take a 7th this year and a 7th next year. Or an 8th round pick. Or 3 high fives. Or a bag of sand.
