Some FOXSports.com NFL news: TEN cutting Tony Brown, DET cutting Jordon Dizon, HOU trying to trade WR David Anderson. Update posted ASAP

Acquisitions of Maehl and Toliver plus Anderson's $1.4M salary has make him expendable. I thought they would cut him, but trading him would be nice if there's a market.

Washington sounds like a likely suitor.

Tell that to Brandon Stokely.

I think KC or Denver was trying to get him awhile ago, turning him into a Welker clone with all the ex-Pats staff.

Gotta assume this helps with cap and also the emergence of Dorin Dickerson.

I bet he goes to the Rams for a 6th.

I'm pretty sure it was McDaniels at Denver.

Now he's the OC at StL.

Dang, I would hate to see him go, but if it helps better the team then, gotta do what they gotta do.

Note that it says "Texans trying to trade..." I think this is more the FO trying to create cap room than any particular team coveting DA.

McDaniels now has Amendola in St. Louis, who is a better David Anderson.

Well with the WR's picked up, the writing was on the wall.. He was a good fill in player, but he didn't really bring much to the Texans and his numbers can and will be easily made up with someone else. I wish him much success if he is indeed traded.

What round was he drafted in again?

I believe the 7th, but I know that when Denver made him a 3 year 4.5 million $ offer, we matched it but he had a 7th round compensation on him. So I would imagine his value is about the same, especially if there is no guaranteed money left in his deal.

Rams already have Amendola, I would be surprised to see them trade for Anderson.

They don't have anybody else though. Amendola could be their #2 given the current roster. Only Donnie Avery is the only other legit WR on the team, and he was on IR last year. Unless they re-sign Mark Clayton and/or Laurent Robinson, they will need to make a play for some WRs. Move Amendola up to the #2 spot, and let DA fill in as a #3/4 guy in the slot. Might work.

The colts would be a good team for him.

Picked up some pretty good WR prospects on the UDFA market. Dorin Dickerson waiting for his shot. Re-signed Jacoby Jones. Where does that leave a guy who has "hands" as his best and practically only asset? No speed, not a shifty runner although he runs routes and can get open, not a blocker, nothing overwhelming physically.....writing on the wall.

Can't see Kubes abandoning one of his boys though. He's just seeing if he can get him a job elsewhere, if not I highly doubt he's cut.

I bet 31 General Managers shot milk out of there collective noses this morning when they heard the Texans were dangling David Anderson on the trade wire.

The Texans should do the guy a favor and cut him now, before camps start. He has zero trade value.

That's part of the problem. I'm not sure if the FO knows that.
