Looks like the Vikings may need a WR in the draft....they probably need to gut their entire WR corps.

The Minneapolis Star Tribune reports Minnesota Vikings WR Kelly Campbell was formally charged Monday, April 18, with receiving a stolen gun and possession of marijuana. He was previously arrested Feb. 24 after Atlanta police saw the SUV he was driving cross the center line to pass three or four cars and drive in the wrong lane. His case will be assigned to a judge in Fulton County (Ga.) Superior Court in the coming days and the arraignment will take place a week or two later.

I thought this guy was really going to have a good year being the number one guy now but why a guy with so much to lose would do this I just cant explain. With his salary he could have bought a gun legit if he wanted to. All of a sudden it does'nt look like Randy Moss mooning Green Bay is all that bad anymore( I never thought it was in the first place). This whole thing just seems stupid and avoidable to me. It makes me glad we try to draft quality people as well as football players (ex. Andre Johnson) but I guess you never know.

Thanks for the info Vinny.

I'm glad we place high value on character also. Campbell is a moron. Just when he has a shot to take the WR1 or solidify his position as one of Culpeppers targets when Moss leaves he runs around like a street punk with stolen guns and illegal substances. Einstein-like move there.

I really just dont get it, has he never heard of risk Vrs. reward. You put it perfectly ....

I remember that he roomed with Moss, so he could learn how to act when Moss was on his best behavior.

Wow Tice is really making a push to be coach of the year this upcoming year. He's busted for scalping Super Bowl tickets, and now this. Keep in mind that three Vikings players got into trouble with the law around this same time last year. Henderson, another LB, and a TE I believe it was got into a fight at a nightclub. If this is what a team gets for having a "player's coach" then I think I'd prefer not to have one.
