I'd be absolutely fine with us pursuing him, but you always hear that Mr. Mcnair places such high importance on character. Maybe he's worked on himself and can give a good interview to convince him he isnt a liability. Either way he would make our offense easily the most threatening in the entire league.

What kind of football shape is he in? If he stayed in great shape and agrees to a work out. I'd give him a look.

I heard the Giants might be interested in resigning him.

At 6-5 / 235, Burress is AJ-eque in numbers. He's apparently maintained his body in prison.

Sports agent Drew Rosenhaus, who never saw a microphone he didn't like, was trumpeting the praises of one of his clients, imprisoned wide receiver Plaxico Burress.

Rosenhaus took to Twitter on Saturday and said he visited the former Michigan State star, who's serving a near two-year prison sentence for having a gun in a New York nightclub in 2008. He has not played since that year.

"He is doing great! He is running & lifting weights 5 days a week. He looks in terrific shape..." Rosenhaus wrote. The agent said Burress, who was released by the Giants in 2009, can't wait to get back on the field this year. "He has set some great goals for his life on and off the field. Get ready to see him do some amazing things this year in all areas!"

Burress is scheduled to be released from prison in June.

With AJ and Burress on opposite ends, the only likely guns to crop up would be those pointing at the heads of the opposing secondaries.

That's the word. His teammates want him back so I would give him a shot. I highly doubt they will ever get back the Plax from 2007.

Keep in mind that prior to this stupid (stupid on his part) gun incident, Burress had no criminal record.....nor did he have any history of being "mischievous."

If you remember, he told the manager of the club that he was carrying the gun to protect himself (because he was stupid enough to have flashy jewelry hanging from his neck and every appendage and carrying large wads of cash). He could very well have gotten ALL the STUPID out of himself in one fell swoop...........Of course, memory of prison life could be a major factor in believing that he can sustain "keeping hope alive."

I would love it if the Texans gave him a look, but I think he'll end up in NY. Then again, Bob does background checks that go back to your daycare records, lol, so the gun thing automatically puts Plax on the "it aint happening" list.

I've read that his preference would be closer to home........Florida (not NY).
