So will the 7 day extension lead to a new CBA deal?

I think they're discussing whether or not to let Brett Favre retire again.

On the radio today they were talking about this being the last day the union had to decertify. If they didn't do it today then they couldn't for another 6 months. I didn't catch the reasoning but if that's true, a ploy by the owners to buy them 6 months?

I think that this extension also extends their right to decertify

This is BS. In 6 days they will use day 7 to agree on an extension. Lame. There is no 11th hour if you can just make extensions out of thin air.

I think it's a good thing.

I think it means that both sides would prefer to see a deal get done.

Sounds a helluva lot better than decertification, lawyers, & litigation.

I say just extend it to 2012 and get it over with. :kitten:

In the end tea leaves are just tea leaves. You can try to read them all you want and their significance will still be something you could have boiled and drunk.

They're doing it wrong, you drink a gallon of tea and then have dreams of the Japanese conquering an island in Washington state with yellow ninja stars.
