If the CBA isn't agreed upon and the NFLPA decertifies as a union...

What is this going to do for the Madden 2012 game that comes out in August?

EA Sports has got to be freaking out since Madden is their moneymaker. So I guess NFL fans are not the only ones suffering from the Millionaires vs Billionaires cat fight..

One good thing could come out of this. If the lockout and decertification occurs, and the season becomes a wash, it may just save whoever makes it on the cover from getting injured in 2011:kitten:

From the CBA/lockout thread in this forum, page 2:

Who will be on the cover of Madden 12?

Maybe no one, depending upon how aggressively the union protects its marketing interests in the absence of a CBA. Or, given the supposed Madden Curse, perhaps the NFLPA will persuade EA Sports to put an owner on the cover. (Yes, that was a joke.)

The answer is: Probably nobody until a deal is struck.

Someone said in an article that everyone wants an owner on the cover so the madden curse can run its course.

LOL, that would be funny. I hope EA looses its monopoly over NFL games. Time for 2K to come back and release quality football games for $19.99.
