Belichick is sitting Welker because of some stuff he said about RexRyan. What a maroon.

Wes Welker benched for the start of the game for his "feet" interview. Belichick was not amused.

Grow a sense of humor, Bill.

anyone know what tom brady and the other guy were sniffing out of the gatorade cup? That looked like they were huffing on the sideline?? I'm guessing it was smelling salts or something?

Darrelle Revis!! Way to outmuscle him and turn a catch into an incompletion. Reminds me of a defensve version of Andre Johnson.

Tom Brady is great. Perhaps the greatest. But, he can't do it alone and the Pats lack of talent in the skill positions is beginning to show against this tough Jets defense.

Belicheat has made some unbelievable stupid decisions tonight.

I guess he saw something on film and thought they could take advantage of it.

This year it's not the same. I'm just jumping on the playoff bandwagon like I do every year that the Texans go home. Starting next season I'll be following the Steelers as my primary team and the Texans will get "secondary focus" so to speak. I have always watched the two of them, I'm just flipping their precedence because the Texans suck and show no sign of ever not sucking and I'm sorry but I draw the line at 9 years of that. At least by stepping off the bandwagon now I can honestly say I didn't watch them bottom feed for an entire decade.

I hear ya. I was a diehard Rams fan from 1984 to 2005. I decided to become a Texans fan in 2006 because I wanted to follow a team that I could actually go see them play at least two or three times a year with my boys. It was hard to leave my beloved Rams but I wanted to buy season tickets and start new with pretty much a new team.

But I had some rough years being a Rams fan. Especially in the nineties. They were dreadful. But I stuck with them and then after a 4-12 season in 98, Boom!!! They caught lighting in a bottle and and went 13-3 and won the super bowl. It was all worth it. All the bad years didn't mean a thing to me anymore. This is why these Texans years are not as hard for me as they should. I just know that everything can change in a blink of an eye. Believe me, I still get mad as hell when they lose games but I still hold optimism at the end of the year for the next year.

Did Linus ever give up on the Great Pumpkin?
Linus (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0790259/): [to Sally as she walks away with everyone else] Hey, aren't you going to stay to greet the Great Pumpkin? Huh? It won't be long now. If the Great Pumpkin comes, I'll still put in a good word for you!
[realizes what he just said]
Linus (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0790259/): Good grief! I said "if"! I meant, "when" he comes!
[calmly]
Linus (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0790259/): I'm doomed. One little slip like that could cause the Great Pumpkin to pass you by. Oh, Great Pumpkin, where are you?

So Welker claims the Patriots were mainly prepared for facing man coverage but instead got zone coverage. Talk about being unprepared and getting outcoached. Way to call out coaching staff too.

I said this last year. Will say it again...

When I watch the playoff teams play, especially in week 2 of playoffs, the game on the field looks faster, bigger, stronger, than what I see in reg season with my Texans team.

It just does.

We're years away from being that good. To even BELONG.

Yeah, Brady the last few playoffs games has looked like he didn't know what was going on so this is shocking considering that all his players say that he prepares them extremely well; essentially saying that that is what separates him from the rest of the HC's in the league. This prompts me to think 2 things: Either the league is catching up to what he's doing or he relied heavily on his spygate tapes....that he doesn't have any more.

Knowing this, where do you think our defense should rank at the end of the 2011 season.... if there is a 2011 season?

I don't think it will matter this year. We're YEARS out, TK. Years.

The Jets, IIRC, did some pretty high-profile wheeling and dealing over the past few years. Acquiring lots of great talent on both sides of the ball. They're making moves that would give McNair insomnia.

I think the mental makeup ALONE of this team's defensive players is borderline beyond repair. They're inept. They've forgotten things. I think they've been subjected to ineptness, and it's hard to get that stank off a person.

That's why I wanted Cowher in here, boss. Because he has shown that he gets his players to overcome any fears, any doubts, etc. His players and his way of doing things is almost like boot camp...tearing people down and rebuilding them the way you want them.

Wade doesn't strike me as a guy who can get this team's defensive players into a more physical mode. I think he's going ot have his hands full just getting the noobies acquainted with how to play defense again. I'm talking about giving them mental wind sprints during meetings. He's going to feel like he's teaching remedial defense, in all likelihood.

Where should they rank? Top 15 if Wade is telling the truth about how he thinks he can work without making major personnel moves.

Where WILL they end up ranked? Probably between 20 and 30. And MAYBE a jump up in 2012 if things are going as planned.

I have pretty low expectations for 2011. Just stop the arm tackling, the falling down, the stoopid offsides penalty that extends our opponent's drives, etc. I just want to see a fluid defense out there.

Same here.

Was hoping for a Packers-Ravens SB. Oh well.

Packers-Steelers is now my preference.
