Just embarrassing for the return man.

Did rackers come up limping though?

JJ in a contract year I believe... doesn't explain why he stunk so bad early in the year though

I am trying hard to stay positive for the last game you know?

I want to see the Texans' pride so that I be able to finish this season with a good note as fan.

Go Texans!!!

Really glad we picked up Rackers....has been an undeniable improvement over KB. Fun to watch him always try to get in on the action as well. His teammates have got to give him some respect for being so scrappy.

It would be an improvement over what we currently have. I'd be fine with it.

Why can we only put more than 2 good quarters together when the team is playing for Kubiaks job? Maybe McNair should employee Kubes on a week to week basis next year. If he does that, he should hire Cowher as DC and pay him $10 mil a year to do it.

Good quotes from the Kittens forum:

"We're retarded... what a joke. "

"f the Titans beat the Colts and we lose today, that will be a HUGE bitter pill to swallow"

"This board will implode. "

"we have a sense of urgency about like Helen Keller's sense of color....... "

14 minutes to go.

LOL.

I have a sinking feeling that this ends with Del Rio raising a fist in the air and laughing all the way home to Florida.

Because our defense is garbage and the Jags know they gotta' win today.

Us? Well, time will go by during this game and we'll take our seat on the short bus when the ball bounces the Jags' way a few times.

Watch and see.

Damn. The Texans can look so good at times........

When other teams' wheels fall off.

That's it, man. We look good when other teams choke. If they hold their own, we can't beat them.

Our success, more often than not, is based solely upon our opponent screwing up and getting away from the game plan.

See that BIG PASS PLAY right there by the Jags? Yeah, that--my friend--is the game plan to use vs. the Texans. Teams who don't pass all game long are doing themselves a huge disservice.

This is just the same old horse crap, for five years now. Nothing new going on here. Same old crap.

See that? Another great pass. Had they done this earlier, it's a tight game and they have a chance to beat us. But now we're up too much for it to matter.

Yay! Looks like a W finally albeit against a depleted and craptastic Jags team....sorry to be a downer.

I am genuinely glad to see the team go out on a high note though. But I have to say I have been in and out of the game. Probably the first time since the Texans started where my apathy level is just so high that it's hard to watch this game even though we are winning.

The only good thing, IMO, is that we might get to see Del Rio swallow a capsule of poison as he reaches midfield: To have lost to Gary Kubiak, with the playoffs on the line, would mean death at midfield by his own hand.

Or maybe plunge a wood axe into his stomach, samurai style. Keep on choppin'! And somewhere, a field goal kicker giggled at that....

Just a note: I'm glad this game thread wasn't filled with the hardcore soapers screaming for us to lose. This win sure feels nice, especially if Indy loses!

]You think people protested and stayed away, to make a statement?[/B]

Just wondering. Haven't paid much attention to the stands during this game while watching it on TV.

We can only hope. However, Uncle Bob will go to the counting room immediately after the game to go count his cash. Everyone knows Reliant has more cash flowing through it than the Tangiers ever did.

I know you were missing your QB and Jones Drew but they played as if they were the 5-10 team.

I agree they overachieved but losing to the Redskins and then playing with no energy today when the playoffs are on the line?

If the coach can't get his team up for that when will he ever?

Still shouldn't fire the coach of a team that totally overachieved this year. They were playing with house money.

One of the pregame shows said that Del Rio still had 2 years left on his contract for a total of $10 Mill. He's not going anywhere.

That's a wrap!

A long winter, and likely refried Kubiak is on the menu for next year.

Makes the off-season especially fun, doesn't it? Yeah, it doesn't.

Come on Bob, think outside the box and show us some intestinal fortitude. You can do it, Bob. Use the force within you, Bob. Let your little light shine.

Del Rio slips a hand grenade into Kubiak's hand as they shake hands at midfield.

Then proceeds to stick one under his own chin before yelling "Keep chopping woo....." BLAM!

AFC South is brutal. LOL. Makes a guy do irrational things.

This feels eerily familiar.

As if I have been here before.

I mean, doesn't it seem odd that every last game ends up being the same result? Must be a coincidence or something [/quote]

Probably doesn't want to have to run the risk of answering questions from on-field reporters.

Just a hunch.

I bet he was immediately put in his under-the-chair-escape-tube (wrapped firmly in his Kubiak snuggie) and swooshed off to his mansion like Batman.

Didnt catch the whole thing and couldnt make out on some of the questions but post-game presser.

Many said a trainwreck season.

Tough season. Not sure about trainwreck. Lost a lot of tough games. Lost tough football games. Told yous many times that winning 7-8 or 10-11 is winning close games. We didnt do that. Disappointing. Our guys played hard and worked hard though.

In hindsight, was corner what went wrong on D?

Combo of things. Thats a factor. We talked about that all year long. Decision we made. Part of this league. Gotta battle through things.

Do you think team did enough to tell the fans will be better next year?

They went through part of the NFL. Over 4 year period and 6 game period, it was a gradual climb then hit a wall during a 9 week period that went backwards. Have to battle back. Time will tell.

What did you tell them?

Proud of their effort. We found a way to win. Guys were missing. We always kept playing hard. WE're better people of what we went through these last few months. We'll be better because of it.

[Some about Bob or the players saying something to him]?

We're talked out. Had a good talk last night. Everyone is talked out. No one quit working though.

What changes were made?

Not sure changes were made. Were down another player. Made some big plays and stops. D shut them out.

Last year, said you got improve running game or red zone O, what do you say now?

Tough to talk about now. We got problems on D. Also on ST. Struggled all year on D. Tough on Joe. Those are glaring things. Always something but those are glaring needs.

What about Arian?

He is tremendous. Tells me this game is fair. He wasnt drafted but the game is fair. If you do it right, it will let you play. So proud of him.

.......

You want to resign him?( OD)

You bet.

Talk to Bob yet?

Had talks with him this week. I said let me enjoy this week but we'll talk tomorrow. He's been fair to me.

Feeling pressure?

Pressure is part of the business. Part of the game. Do you feel it? Of course. Part of my life for 20 something years. I enjoy it.

You worried?

What do you mean?

Talking to Bob.

I need some sleep. I'll go home and sleep. Hopefully about 8 hours, havent had that in awhile, and then wake up and talk to him.

Glad the season is over?

Hell no. Had a good football team. Didnt win the close games.

Not a player that changes the whole team. About the whole team going back to those spots and making those differences.

The Texans could lose 8 of the last 9 as long as they win the last one. Bob will think they are on the right track and have turned the corner. What a moron.
