I'm a Coogs and Sooners fan, but I'm really pulling for the frogs in this one.

Go Frogs.

What a momentum killer for Wisconsin. They had a really good chance for seven points.

This is David vs Goliath in more ways than one. Another first down !
Go Frogs !

Both teams moved the ball quite easily on their first drive. 7-3 TCU.

HoustonFrog
01-01-2011, 05:31 PM
What a great drive. Mixing up run and pass. Love it!!

Wisconsins run game is trouble though

SpringTexan
01-01-2011, 05:34 PM
As Kirk Herbstreit is saying, the Frogs are slipping around a lot. I wonder what's going on.

JCTexan
01-01-2011, 05:36 PM
Wisconsin strikes right back. 10-7 Badgers.

STEEL BLUE TEXANS
01-01-2011, 05:37 PM
That was way too easy for Wisconsin

SpringTexan
01-01-2011, 05:37 PM
Well that was fast. Wisconsin looked impressive on that drive. We should have a great game.

HoustonFrog

And here comes TCU...no defense today

STEEL BLUE TEXANS
01-01-2011, 05:44 PM
TCU goin through Wisconsin with little resistance. No defense at all so far in this game but its entertaining to watch!

Dalton is playing lights out tonight!

Now I want the frogs to play some D!

TD TCU. 14-10 Hornfrogs.

IDEXAN

How come this Andy Dalton dosen't get more hype, especially as an NFL prospect ? He's obviously got a very accurate arm along with excellent mobility. He's a very well kept secret it seems to me ?

I'm pulling for the Texas team in this one, and against the Big 10! Go Frogs! Gig 'em! :D

Texan4Ever

Dayum, Wisky has a BIG offensive line (Carimi at 327-lbs and Moffitt at 325-Lbs), I would love to have Moffitt and Carimi as Texans so they can bulldoze people and allow Arian Foster to run through a gaping hole.

I don't know, I haven't seen him play before, but he looks great on paper. He's a senior, 6-3', 220 pounds, and a 167 QB rating so far this season. In his 4 years of starting as a QB, he has never finished a season with less than a 118 QB rating. That's pretty awesome even in a shitty conference. I haven't heard anything about him being an NFL prospect, but maybe he will drop to the 4th round and Kubiak can pick him up for a pet project. He can't be worse than Orlovsky...

JCTexan
01-01-2011, 06:03 PM
Finally a defense shows up. TCU held Wisconsin to a FG try, but the Badgers kicker hooked it. TCU still up 14-10.

STEEL BLUE TEXANS
01-01-2011, 06:04 PM
Dalton got lucky there. That should have been picked.

He does a great job of managing games and is a winner but I thibnk he is more of a college QB than pro. He has a tendency to make some really dumb throws in games. that really isn't a knock like the guy ruins games..he is 41-7...but he can have brain fart games where you aren't sure what is going on. Overall I think he can be a backup on a team that is set talent wise....Baltimore, etc.

TCU three & out. First punt of the game.

STEEL BLUE TEXANS
01-01-2011, 06:10 PM
Both defenses startin to show up. TCU forces a punt.

SpringTexan
01-01-2011, 06:10 PM
Another big stop. Toulze got leveled on that play.

Teams are settling in with schemes

SpringTexan

Nevermind! Wisconsin just pulled a fast one on TCU!

HoustonFrog
01-01-2011, 06:11 PM
How did the slow punter get that?

STEEL BLUE TEXANS
01-01-2011, 06:12 PM
Wisconsin converts on the fake punt. That might be the slowest developing play I have seen.

SpringTexan
01-01-2011, 06:13 PM
It looks like the TCU defense has figured out the running game of Wisconsin.

JCTexan
01-01-2011, 06:13 PM
Interesting that TCU didn't see that coming since Wisconsin looked like they were going to fake it on the penalty the play before.

Those guys might definitely have NFL potential, but probably not as prospects in an offensive line like the Texans that emphasises zone-blocking schemes.

This will be a big series.

They had some D momentum at the end of the half but right now they are up and down. Some big stops but the secondary is playing too far off.

Nice stop by the Froggies. Great play by the CB that pulled the ball out of Nick Toon's hands. Saved at least 3 points.

Frogs with a real chance to take control of this game.

Nice punt coverage there by TCU. Downed at the 3 yard line.

Dutchrudder

There is only one reason why a punted football breaking the plane of the goalline in the air is not a touchback, and it's because of awesome plays like that.

HoustonFrog
01-01-2011, 07:19 PM
I think if the RB hadn't slipped on the sideline that last drive we would have had more points.

JB
01-01-2011, 07:24 PM
Would Tank Carter make a good WLB for us?

He makes plays. I thought he would have trouble with size in this game but he is making plays

If we do go to a 34, Watt from Wis. looks like a very good DE.

TD Wisconsin. Two point conversion pass batted away by TCU. 21-19 TCU, onside kick coming with two minutes remaining in the game.

Dutchrudder

Froggies Run D is falling apart, but that block in the back should have been called.

JB
01-01-2011, 08:01 PM
Big play on the conversion attempt. Can they defend the onside kick?

Congrats to HoustonFrog and all TCU alums & students for what's probably the greatest victory in the greatest football season they ever had ? Actually who's ever had a better college football season ? In the great football-state of Texas I suppose only UTs VY-led unbeaten Rose Bowl season 5 years ago, and that's equal but surely not superior to the Frogs just completed season ?

Dalton really impressed me with his ability to run an offense & protect the ball. His draft stock just went up to a possible 2nd rd. selection. I could imagine him staying in Dallas Fort Worth & playing for the Cowboys.
