View Full Version : Tim Tebow not shy about serving up Crow for Christmas

The naysayers where out in full force prior to draft stating drafting Tim Tebow in the first round would be a huge mistake.

Saying he was to slow to run it at this level.

Saying that the NCAA Division 1A 4-year passer rating record holder does not possess the skill set to play QB at this level.

Well in only his second start, Tebow managed to score two touchdowns and throw for over 300+ yards.

Tebow managed to pull off a heroic second half endeavor, to bring his team back from a 17 point deficit to win it in the end with back to back to back kneel down plays to kill the clock in the 24-23 victory over the Texans.

Tebow served up the crow on the field now its time for all the haters to eat it off the field~!!

Before you guys come crying about how bad the passing defense was, lets not forget this was Tebows Second start, and how the best CB for the Broncos was out for the second half~!!

Nothing against Tebow, but the Texans are hardly an NFL measuring stick. He looked good, but we make everybody look good.

why does that matter since it was all tebow apparently?

shouldnt we just ignore the D, the rb's and wrs who caught all those bubble screens/jump balls and made ppl miss and had yac tds for the most part- it was all tebow obviously

Why does this have to be a we suck fest that is why he rocked, when the broncos defense sucks too?:strangle:

Tebow is the least of our concerns. Today he played the worst pass defense in the National Football League so that helping of crow better come with a grain or two of salt.

The same people who thought Tebow couldn't play QB believed that David Carr and Alex Smith could so how serious can anyone take their predictions anyway?

I still remember when the announcers compared JP Losman to Ken Stabler after he played the Texans.

Tebow has a slower wind up and delivery than your boy Leftwich (how did that man-crush work out?). His overall mechanics are just atrocious, he literally jumps every time he throws the ball, its comical. Any DC worth a lick will be able to make him look baaaaad. He has some skills, they just aren't the ones he will need for a long and successful career as a QB in the NFL. Just my 2 cents.

Also I think we tied the most times in a season a team has given up 24 or more points. 14 so far, going for the record next weekend.

Lol, Tebow. Lol.

Please drop the mechanic argument, some of the best athletes of all time possess unorthodox mechanics.

Tebow in just his second start as a rookie, managed to accomplish something it took Garrard till the end of his 7th season to accomplish, and that was to manage racking up over 300 yards in a game.

Jaguars are a joke. The fact that they passed up on Tebow in order to maintain a tack with a fullback playing the QB position is par for the course regarding their laughable antics as a franchise since Jack Del Rio has come aboard.

Tebow bringing the Broncos back from a 17 point deficit is a testament of just how clutch he is.:lion:

Broncos should have done this a long time ago, who knows they could be heading to the play-offs by now.

Tebow had 140 QB rating on 3rd downs. When you have a ball control offense like that, it goes to great strides to improving the play of your defense.

Once the coach opened up the offense for Tebow in the second half, the defense only allowed 6 points, and that was without Champ Bailey. This is what I have referred to in the past as the Platebow effect.

you do realize you're talking about the team that gifted garrard a hail mary win just a few games ago right? the same team that's as of right now on pace to be potentially the worst defense of the modern era. if i read it correctly we tied the winless lions and 81 colts for allowing 24+ points in 14 games ... and we've still got one to go.

we make hall of famers out of ryan fitzpatrick, jp losman, vince young, and so many more. heck in '08 jamarcus russel went 18-25 for 230+ yards and a win against us. mark brunell broke the completions record against us (just before david carr tied it with 22 straight dumpoffs).

i'm not suggesting tebow will bust, nor that he'll be great ... just that the texans arent a team to use as a measuring stick. i like a lot of what he does, but against even a halfway decent defense yesterday tebow would've been sacked no fewer than 11 times.

Hell, Ryan Fitzpatrick threw for over 310 and 3 TD's in his very first start.

As far as "The Tebow's" performance yesterday, meh. The sun shines on a dog’s ass, some days. Just so happened that a crappy (fourth worst of all time), short-handed, too young secondary, named the Texans were the sun.

I think it would be harder to name quarterbacks that didn't throw for 300+ against this crappy, alleged defense this season..

Valid point here. It's kinda like praising a Varsity player for throwing 300+ yards against a JV defense. I just take it with a grain of salt. It'll be more telling when Tebow goes up against a secondary that knows what the hell they're doing.

Dude, I get it that you're happy that your boy Tebow did well. I'm happy for you, really I am. What I need you to understand though is that we have all just about had our fill of "He just wins!" and "You can't handle his godly intangibles!" thanks to one Mr. Vince Young. Yesterday Tebow took a step toward shutting up his critics and I'm not denying that.

I'm just saying that on an entirely different level (the level that we're most concerned about around here) the only thing that really happened was that one bad team beat another bad team and that you won't find a lot of people who want to hear about the new ultimate weapon. Good luck to Mr. Tebow in his future endeavors but we've already done this routine with Vince.

If he does it next week against the Chargers I will be impressed and more convinced that this game wasn't a total fluke/Texan collapse. In the meantime I am going to go and grab San Diego's defense for the final week of fantasy football.

If you go back and watch the youtube videos of the 2002 draft, Mel Kiper states very emphatically that there is no way David Carr and Joey Harrington aren't going to be superstars.

It really puts things into perspective just how overpaid these guys are to do something with less accuracy than we could.

Texans give up 277.1 passing yards per game. Denver gives up 233.1.

What does it matter what the Broncos do on defense when evaluating Tebow anyway?

Congrats to Tebow, he beat the worst defense I have ever seen in my life. Atta boy.

Totally agree, let's see him play a entire season, especially vs a divisonal rival...blood is bad between Chargers and Broncos. Tebow played great Sunday, he has that fire/desire to win. This is why, I'm a fan of his. time will tell, no crow needed...action on the field.
