Ya I think they may have posted it because so many people are saying that Andre should have been suspended. In this video you can hear Innegan throw the first punch.

I find it a bit unsettling that AJ told the ref to watch the hands to the face when Innegan gets frustrated, and the ref almost said the words before AJ did, but never called a penalty even though it happened a few times after that before the fight.

Andre did get away with a block to the back though...

Yeah he did...:D

But the ref gave him the benefit of the doubt, and it did look like Innegan turned away from the block. It started as a block in his side. 'Cause I is a AJ fan!

Also, its CLEAR to me now that AJ was the one who got under Innegans skin, not the other way around. He was clearly frustrated, even AJ called him out on it.... and he was super pissed from the play prior to the fight and clearly it caused him to resort to the blow to AJs face with both arms.

Not surprisingly, pretty much the exact opposite happened from what the jersey shore guido haircut wearin d.ouchebag said in his radio interview in Nash.

Exactly.

The ref also said he wasn't sure if he saw it right. The mark of a good official is to keep the hanky in his pants (as it were) if he isn't sure what he saw.

Andre catches ball, laughs

But no one could have predicted the fireworks (flames/bull) that would take place when we have Andre Johnson wired for sound.

Andre high fives coach
Andre - How ya doin?
Coach - Im good, how was your turkey day?
Andre - It was good!

Schaub, Walter, Andre
Andre - We all wish we could be perfect!
Schaub - Don't we?

Catching montage

Ref to Andre -
Ref - Did you run in the back (??)
Andre - No, I was on the side
Ref - OK, Im watching you, cuz it looked like it was, I couldn't tell you got it. Make sure really on the side, OK?
Andre - a'right
Ref - ??
Andre - I got ya

Blocking montage

Andre to ref again
Andre - Hey ref, 31 (Ref eyes get huge) talks over Andre
Ref - oh believe me
Andre - when he gets frustrated ...
Ref - I watch him every play, everywhere
Andre - He puttin his hands, he's startin to put his hands on my facemask

Schaub in huddle
Schaub - You almost have a lane back here?
Andre - I didn't .. uh .. Finnegan ended up hittin me, I didnt see him, but I guess he ran from the other side.

Andre to sidelines talking to staff
Andre - hey, when we get (??)brenched(??) like that. Throw it up! They just sittin there, waitin'
Staff - I know, every time
Andre - yeah

Catching montage

Mark V - Matt in the pocket, looking, Matt firing down field and he's got Andre Johnson at the 44 yard line and Andre Johnson now has 60 catches, he becomes the first wide receiver in NFL history with at least 60 catches in his first 8 seasons, remarkable!

Andre sidelines -
Andre - the safety was just sittin, the cornerback, you know, they got the two look, but the safeties not really getting the whip

Andre/Jones walking on the field -
Andre - I think both of us get wide open

Mark V - calls 2 yard touchdown play

High fives on sideline
Hey man, way to go

Coach comes and kneels in front -
Coach - Hey man, how'd you get over there so fast?
Andre - I just took off
Mumbling ..
Walter - Did you (??)get a chip(??)
Andre - I aint got a chip
Coach - I mean did you go out there and hit that guy and go?

Andre - no, I just took off

Schaub - Captioning goal line talk

Andre to Schaub
Andre - And they were calling two passing plays
Schaub - captioned

Finnegan facemask Dre
Dre to CF - Dont get frustrated - laughs

Huddle
Walter - you got 31 following you
Dre - yeah ..
Rich Lord (announcer) - its getting very testy down here, they are basically pushing and shoving and exchanges going on

Schaub in huddle
Schaub - Listen up, keep your poise now. They're gonna try to get us to do some dumb $h!t. Just keep bashing em, keep your poise.

Fight
Announcer - And now Andre Johnson and Finnegan are going at it, helmet comes off of Finnegan, and Andre Johnson's ejected. Andre Johnson lost his cool with Cortland Finnegan and you know Cortlands just trying to get Andre upset ... And Andre is ejected (escorted out) from the game, 9 catches, 75 yards.

Duane Brown to Dre -
We got your back, we gonna hold it down for ya

Announcer - Finnegan will head to locker room, finally, jogging toward the south endzone, the tunnel where the Titans come out, and December 19th, you don't have to wait long for the rematch, it will go down again, in Nashville this time.

Kubiak gives Dre game ball, Dre apologizes.

I actually disagree (but that's because I'm a Titans fan, right ;) ) We don't get to hear what Finnegan said the whole game, but AJ mentions Finnegan multiple times in the video prior to the incident, even complaining to the ref about Finnegan's physical (sorry, dirty) play. To me, that shows Finnegan was in AJs head. But again, I must be biased!

The video also makes it seem like Schaub, not too soon before the fight, says in the huddle to "keep your cool" because the Titans are going to try to come at you. Andre sure listens to his quarterback! (that was a joke, don't ban me.)

Don't take this post so seriously, though I know some will.

You don't think the hand to the neck/facemask area is good "physical" play? And telling the ref to watch for the foul is hardly a sign that Finnegan was under AJ's skin, it just shows that AJ was handling the dirty scumbag well until it was clear that the refs would not protect him so he would have to.

The only problem that I really had was the video showed Finnegans doing some illegal hands to the face on about 3 occasions (Including the shot that set everything else off), and he never got flagged for that.

I believe you can agree with this: That reffing crew was absolutely crappy. They are pretty much directly responsible for that fight happening (Along with like 3 int'l grounding calls that never got flagged on the Texans side).

I'm wondering how much of that goes on every game and doesn't get called.

Even in that clip Andre could have been whistled for a block in the back and for holding on a running play.

If the officials wanted to, they could throw a dozen flags every play. I think they let players play unless the foul is terrible and obvious.

I would put all 3 of those instances of "hands to the face" as terrible and obvious. If you let one player punch a player in his facemask over and over again during a game this kind of **** is going to happen.

How closely do you watch CB/WR match ups in game?

I would guess there is quite a bit of this contact at the LOS.

I would guess there is quite a bit of this contact at the LOS.

There's always contact but there is a huge difference between jamming and intentionally putting your hands in a guys grill. Really good CB's have plenty of power in their punch that their jam is effective off the LOS without having to resort to putting your hands above the shoulders.

This is why you never hear about Revis, Aso, or Bailey being "dirty" or "fiesty" because they actually play their positions correctly without trying to get one over on the refs when they don't flag you.

Like many of you have mentioned, I simply cannot understand how finnegan never got flagged for illegal hands to the face.

I love the respect Dre gets though, evidenced by the block in the back. When they showed that I was thinking "woo we got away with one there". I was just laughing my butt off when the ref asks 'did you block in the back?', Dre says, 'no' and the ref says ' ok' hahahahah that's my favorite part of the whole clip.

Oh and you know the NFL edited the sound bites. I'm sure as hell you could hear some cussing going on but for obvious reasons didn't include that. You know Goodell got the unedited version.

In regards to the fight... best angle yet of what I've been saying this whole time. finnegan threw the first punch. right jab... he was just a dumbass and punched AJ's helmet.

Once again I'm obviously biased

Just curious, but do you think NFL players are biased when they voted Innegan as one of the dirtiest players in the league? That's not some fan popularity contest, but rather a direct vote by his peers.

And what do you say when Innegan brags that he wants to be first on that list on multiple occasions? I heard his Jim Rome interview at the beginning of the season and he embraced the dirty player tag with pride.

I laugh when I hear people saying that Texans fans would feel different if the roles were reversed. I find it funny because this franchise would never hire a dirty player like Innegan, and a player like AJ has way too much class to devote his undying allegiance and HoF career to an owner like Slug. It's not a comparable situation because it's not even close to being a realistic scenario.

ALL fans are biased. But, at least we can justify our bias beyond just rooting for the logo on the helmet. AJ embodies everything a HoF player should be about. Players like Innegan have to resort to dirty tactics to make up for a lack of talent. Without his B.S., he would never stand a chance of covering anything thrown AJ's way. If you're an honest NFL fan, you'd easily agree.

I disagree. These are 2 different things.

I think fans, and team-mates are hyped up by the action Sunday.

"Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson was chagrined over his fist-fight with Cortland Finnegan and the $25,000 it cost him.

But on the bright side it helped the hometown Rockets pick up a victory.

Forward Shane Battier gave credit to Johnson, who was in the stands, for him scoring 18 points including the game winner Sunday against Oklahoma.

"I saw the champ," Battier told the Houston Chronicle. "The champ goes from a tough game, showing what it means to be a fighter, coming, sitting courtside at the Rockets tonight. I saw the champ. After the crowd got hyped, I got hyped. The champ is responsible for this win. I will roll with Andre Johnson every day of the week. That fired me up when I saw him."

LINK (http://content.usatoday.com/communities/gameon/post/2010/11/shane-battier-gives-thanks-for-andre-johnson/1)

If Battier and the Rockets get hyped, why wouldnt his own teammates 4 days later?
