Wow, this scenario is putting a HUGE silver lining on my season. This is GREAT news for us that live in Austin. Now knowing my luck he will end up in Dallas next season.

I like the concept. Somebody doesn't do his job and he loses his job.

"Hello? May I speak to Mr. McNair, please? I have a revolutionary idea."

Awesome news for us.

I agree with the thoughts on Rusty becoming Drew Brees mark two in our game though.

I'll take Young being a non factor any day though.

He's just a good old fashioned moron.

He shouldn't be back after the season, just too much money for a guy you can't depend on. Fisher probably shouldn't after how this season is bound to end.

Yay for next week... what a matchup!

You guys should go read some of the user feedback on that VY article in the Chronicle. It seems as though at least Titan fans can see that VY has huge expansive maturation problems that Fisher is not willing to continue working through.

Honestly I can live with that. I have no issue with the Browns and I am rooting for Colt to do well.

I would rather watch the Texans than the freaking Browns but my team is killing my argument at every corner. I believe Austin will go back to it's old tricks again.

I wonder if Uncle Bob is following this closely with his finger just above Fisher's speed dial number.

Right. I didn't notice. I'm actually trying to get some work done, so I wasn't paying that close of attention.

Didn't Steve McNair go through something similar to this (offseason, but barred from using team facilities)? If I recall correctly, he ultimately won a grievance against the Titans.

Not a fan of VY by a longshot, but unless he's been suspended for some reason (a possibility I suppose), not sure what the basis for this is.

His (Steve McNair's) was over contract issues IIRC.

*EDIT*

Yup... Found it:

Tennessee Titans quarterback Steve McNair was asked to leave the team's training facility when he reported Monday for offseason workouts, his agent and team sources confirmed.

McNair was told by a team trainer that he would not be allowed to work out until his contract situation is resolved, according to James "Bus" Cook, who represents McNair.

Agent: Titans want McNair's contract status resolved (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2395953)

So McNair didn't have his contract resolved but showed up for offseason workouts anyway.

The unresolved issue was that the Titans wanted to restructure the deal and Steve didn't. They could cut him, or honor the contract, but they couldn't ignore what was in place.

In an arbitrator ruling on Wednesday, the Tennessee Titans, lost a battle with Quarterback Steve McNair. The Tennessee quarterback was banned from using the Titan training facility during the off-season, for personal training. The arbitrator ruled that as long as the quarterback still is under contract with the Titans, they couldn't ban him from the premises.

But.... the point is that he didn't lose his job because he couldn't do it. He lost his job because he got hurt, & he was acting like a baby.
