Funny how it doesn't do anything to the QBs who face us and go for 400 yards and multiple TDs on us.

Yeah, they can leave the ball alone. I get the pink everywhere, but the ball should be the same all season. it is not necessary.

Exactly! Just like I (and my patient) have a bad day when the nurse hands me a scalpel on a shiney new smooth slippery scalpel handle. I certainly can understand that:thinking::sarcasm:

I think it was the pink shoes. Having that extra layer of paint has to slow all the players down. Imagine what Foster could do in plain white shoes. This was also the secret of Billy "White Shoes" Johnson of Oiler renown.

The ball is no different than it ever was. The complaint is that every ball is a NEW ball.

Does anyone remember the HISTORY OF THE K-BALL (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/article/magazine/MAG1017189/index.htm)???? If not, you may find this archived SI piece historically interesting.

I think it was the pink soap .... thats about to come out of hiding. Either that or there was an imposter who goes by HHWNBM in that #8 jersey.

That's gonna make our red-zone O even more significant, especially with our current kicker.

Aren't they still the same balls minus the pink ribbon printed on it? I'm fairly sure a pink ribbon doesn't make a ball slicker than it normally is.

Maybe Tim's just concocting an excuse for his brother's recently sub-par performance. I'm sure Matt will agree with Tim, too.

I think you all are missing they complaint here. They are the same balls however they are playing with them straight out of the bag, not having time to know off the luster new balls have. Teams do all sorts of stuff to the balls to knock the slickness of, they scuff them a little, bang them on walls and so on. It's a great cause, they just need to give the balls to the team a week prior to let QBs get use to them.

Call it an excuse, but same thing happens in the NBA and the NFL. Remember the NBA went to a new ball, can't remember why, but you heard serious complaints about them being too slick and they changed it back after the All Star break.

hahaha awesome point.

What a lame excuse this is. It only affects Schaub now?

Maybe he'll start wearing mittens

Actually I think the title was tongue and cheek... It has been effecting all the QBs...

From the article.....

"They're playing with these breast cancer awareness balls. These balls are brand new, right out of the bag," Hasselback explained. "Now they get slick -- I texted a couple quarterbacks during the game. They all said, 'These balls have been a disaster.' So I think that's something to note."

:challenge

It could be he was too busy texting while driving? I joke, but what is he doing texting anybody instead of playing his best game for three hours on Sunday? Maybe, I don't know, go over some recon pics while the defense in on the field? I sure hope air traffic controllers don't have the same habits.

I know. The QB's can bring their own balls in every other game except for this month. That was one of their big rule changes recently.
