View Full Version : TBB Video: What's That Smell?

Oh, It's the Offensive Line Stinking it up:

While Matt Schaub no doubt laid a stinker in Houston on Sunday, it has become clear to Texans Bull Blog that Matt was down wind of the real poop factory. Matt’s friends Rashad, Antoine and Eric didn’t just play poorly, they stunk it up so frequently that we’ve had to create a collage of sucktitude the likes of which haven’t been seen around these parts for years. Was the Giant’s defensive line so absurdly good that our woeful heros just couldn’t be expected to hold their own?

No. They just played like a bunch of pansies. There is something to be said when Chris Meyers get’s no mention of being dominated. He was sound and consistent. Gary Kubiak and the Texans Blogosphere have been searching for consistency… well guess what. We’ve found three consistent performers from Sunday’s beating. Consistent, turd laying performances. Matt Schaub making poor reads and throwing with inaccuracy could be explained by the fact that he may had lost complete faith in the offensive line early in the first half.

You’re about to witness some of the sloppiest, most un-good football playing we’ve seen in a Texans uniform since the C&C music factory was in charge. Ahhhh, feast your eyes and enjoy because you had damn sure better hope that this kind of video reel isn’t posted again any time soon. If we’re showing more videos like these this season, well, lets just say you’re not going to be having many double rainbow kind of moments when it comes to your favorite football team.

You can see the video and read the rest of the breakdown here:

ouch. honestly Butler looked the worst.

ouch. honestly Butler looked the worst.

Butler was simply outmatched against a great pass rusher. Our backup tackle versus Osi shouldn't be pretty... particularly when we are forced to throw the ball. I'm much more concerned with the play on the right side of the line. Caldwell was appallingly bad. We could've shown much more video of him struggling!

ouch. honestly Butler looked the worst.

KC is Butler's last game. Then, Brown will be back after the bye. I suppose that is one reason why I'm more concerned with the right side of the line.

Also, Caldwell was rotating with Brisiel. But Brisiel injured his knee, so this was his first game playing almost every snap and Brisiel won't be back for a few weeks. It is something to watch.

Are you talking the circus, endless chasing, or slapstick comedy?

That was some real suckitude right there, amazing what ya miss watching the ball during the game.

wow, that was awful. I'm amazed Schaub wasn't injured.

I'm glad you brought this up. So far everyone has been fixated on the defense's suckitude. The defense definitely has its deficiencies but they made far more plays last Sunday than the offense did, and the o-line was definitely responsible.

Caldwell was just being dominated by Rocky Bernard. In fact, the first video clip on Winston's failure was really due to Caldwell allowing Bernard to seal off Winston on the stunt.

Butler is a RT playing LT. The Texans need a backup LT.

Not sure what everyone else saw, but it looked to me like a bunch of pansies playing scared. They all looked intimidated and afraid of what the next move was going to be. It sucks for us the best performance by a D-Line this past decade occurred a week before we played against said D-Line. I really think that played into our psyche, and our O-Line was intimidated and scared of their D-Line. Pathetic...

butler worries me most. i'm no line coach but he looks flawed in every way. he's off-balance either being too high or too low, tries to plant his feet when making initial contact which doesnt allow him to move with the defender, and gets way too compact and stiff after first contact. the worst though is he's throwing some weird haymaker when bringing his hands in and has quite literally the worst "punch" i've ever seen ... heck i cant even call it a punch, i've patted friends on the back with more impact.
