The San Diego Chargers have lost their starting strong safety for the next four weeks.

Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports that the NFL suspended Steve Gregory for four games as a result of a positive test for a banned substance.

Don't know who he is and I think he was the replacement for Ellison, last years breakthrough rookie from USC who looked like he was going to be great. Either way the Chargers are down to playing with smoke and mirrors at safety and this includes the Texans game. Unless AJ Smith trades for one, expect a 3rd stringer starting vs. the Texans.

It's suspended for four games not weeks. However the Chargers bye week is week 10. So yeah, he will be returning when we play them in week 9. DAMNIT!!!!!!!!

My mistake, his first game back will be our week 9 game.

No harm. Was wondering if the Chargers bye week counted as a suspended week.
