View Full Version : Texans Stats Week #2

I've just run the script on the Texans-Redskins game. The script was choking on penalty plays, the pbp data seems to be inconsistent on how it handles penalties so I'll be working on it.

In addition, I've added a table that shows what plays were run on what down, and how many first downs occured on those plays (a TD counts as a first down in the script)

Any suggestions for what ya'll want to see will be appreciated.

Next week I'll also have cumulative statistics for the season up. :chef:

Any chance you can add player snap counts for : snaps in run defense, snaps rushing, snaps in coverage?

That would be very useful.

I wish I could, the play by play data doesn't include who was on the field for each play, unless the player did something on the play. The NFL has started releasing gamebooks, which contain the starting lineups, subs, active players who did not play, and reserve players, but it too doesn't say who was playing on a particular play.
