For the second consecutive week, a Texans player has been honored as the AFC Offensive Player of the Week.
Receiver Andre Johnson, who caught 12 passes for 158 yards and a touchdown in the 30-27 overtime victory at Washington, won the award this week. Running back Arian Foster won it last week.
This is only the second time in his eight-year career that Johnson has won the award. The other time was in 2006.
The award could easily have gone to quarterback Matt Schaub, who threw for a career-high 497 yards and three touchdowns against the Redskins.
Defensive end Mario Williams, who had three sacks and three hurries against the Redskins, could have won the defensive award. Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker James Harrison was voted AFC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in their victory at Tennessee.

The award could have gone to Matt, but the beast is starting to get the recognition he deserves. Matts time will come. Winning does that.

If I remember correctly, Harrison had 2 sacks with 2 forced fumbles. I'd probably agree and say that's more deserving than Mario's 3 sacks.

Just got word from Andre that he will let me keep the award at my house because he's running out of room for these and they aren't the award he's looking for.

Are you listening DeAngelo? Are you listening? Maybe you heard but it didn't compute. It seems that's a problem with you.

I am happy for you AJ and I am going to let you finish, but I should have been the AFC Offensive Player of the week
