Is it just me or does the Texans schedule not look near as tough as it did a month ago?
Houston starts out by beating the hardest team to beat on the schedule "the colts".
NFC East looks kind of out of sorts so far and looks easily beatable.
The only slight worries I have right now are against our own division. I'm thinking Titans will be a rough game just because of C. Johnson and for some reason V.Young thinks Houston is a home game every year.
Jacksonville looks decent but beatable.
I'll end this with saying I can forsee a Playoffs if we can stay healthy and Schaub starts playing to his ability

My opinion is the schedule is last year's records... Most every team is not the same as they were last season, so I am of the fact that a schedule is what it is, and who cares what the w-l were LAST year... these are not the same teams the Texans are playing...
Still gotta strap them up and play the game !

I don't think it's going to be the toughest schedule in the NFL. Not when you go 16-0 :polevault:

I don't think the NFC East is going to be too bad, and our home division game should be winnable. I worry about the games in Indy and in Tennessee.

The schedule should only be used as a guideline not to be panicked over or to excited over. This was a well played game by our guys.

I don't know if the schedule looks any easier. I think it was a good step in the right direction, that our Texans kept it together as well as they did.

But I wasn't worried about a Kevin Kolb led Eagles. A Michael Vick led Eagles come December might be a different story. I hope they are still fighting amongst themselves in December.

Cowboys, Redskins... still worried. Those defenses look tough. Ware is a monster, Rattlif is a technician.

Titans, Jags, still tough, but I'm thinking a Colts sweep may be possible.

Baltimore, San Diego, Jets... how we do against those three teams, I think will decide the AFC South (The Colts, Jags, & Titans play them as well).

I think our chances for going to the play-offs are good, but I've always thought that.

I think our chances for winning the division are better, unless the Colts get it together.

Exactly, teams change from year to year. Last year there wasn't any way on this planet that the Texans would have ran for over two hundred yards on the Colts. This year they did. Over all though, it's still going to be a tough schedule, and I think tougher than last year's schedule. But the team is a better team.

Lot's of football yet to be played. :)

Before the season ever started, I said that you can't really judge strength of schedule based on the previous year's results. I stick by that.

We have a good team. We should end up with a good record. But there is no guarantee.

I'm worried about one team on our schedule.

The next team.

Schaub starts playing to his ability

I don't think there is a real worry about Schaub here. The texns were running like madmen. When that happens why even throw the ball if you dont need to. Rushing tears the clock down and thats what won it for us. Schaub will come up big later and that run game will just make the passing game even better.

Tenn is always tough, for obvious reasons. BUT, I'm concerned about the Ravens and Chargers. Both tough D's. The Jets will be a tough game, we play in their house.

I hope the team doesn't get over confident like some of it's fans seem to have done with one win. We need to play this one game at a time, one snap at a time because as good as we looked yesterday we could look equally horrible next week. They're young and schizophrenic and keeping up that intensity will be difficult. Like Texan Bill said, the only team that worries me is the next team.

If Alex Barron starts, then the Cowboys should be no problem.

Here is how I see it. We could easily go 3-0 in September and 2-1 going into the bye in October. 5-1 would be great and even a 4-2 start will not be bad. Much like last year though, our season will depend on November - @ Colts, Chargers at Home, @ JVILLE, @ JETS, and Home against Tenn.

That is a tough schedule in November.

I'm worried about one team on our schedule.

The next team. The only NFL team I'm worried about is the Texans. They can be their own worst enemy as we all know. It was a very satisfying game to watch.

Again, as I've said over and over, we're fans. We can look past games. We can look at the schedule. Because we're fans.

The Texans players need to look at each game one at a time and treat every one of them like it's the Super Bowl. They need to go out every game with the intensity that they had against the Colts and they need to play every game for the full 60 minutes. Because they're the players.

But we can get as overconfident as we want because our confidence means absolutely nothing.

Unfortunately the only opponent they all play is SD. AFA AFC East and AFC North teams, it looks like this:

HOU: BAL & @ NYJ
TEN: PIT & @ MIA
JAX: CLE & @ BUF

Both of them should have slightly easier roads than Houston to travel.
