Our defensive backs are making me sick.
You can't keep hoping that the damn WRs will dropped the balls. They're consistently getting over on top of damn DBs. No surprise that they'll eventually on us.

Our defensive backs are making me sick.

Agreed! Our DBs are allowing too much space and are just standing around. Move when the WRs move and hit em! :choke:
So we're going to get 3 or 6 on this drive.
And we get the ball back in the 2nd half, and should get 3 or 6 on that drive as well.
The defensive line is doing work today. I have ragged them the whole off-season and said they were the weak link on this team. But today they are probably the reason this game is where it's at right now.

Blazin' Toro

Offense just needs to keep it up (except the interception) and play the WHOLE game instead of stopping after the second half. Defense needs to pressure Manning and we're set.
TexanExile
09-12-2010, 01:14 PM
And this is what happens when you make mistakes against the Colts.
Exactly. As opposed to the onslaught of Neil Rackers-ness that we relied on in the 1st quarter.
We saw Houston clicking on the TD drive. Let's hope that comes back and Matt has had his doofus throw for the day.

Jackson played with good technique from the snap, and Garcon could not achieve

of Jackson, was no accident.

A tale of 2 quarters. 1st quarter: Texans jump out to the 13 point lead(well td came in the early 2nd but was essentially the culmination of the third first quarter drive). In the second quarter offense sputtered and turned the ball over yielding 10 points.
Got to get back to running the ball hard to setup the pass.

It sucks that Garcon dropped that TD and then Wayne catches one... at least I´d have gotten some fantasy points to counter the pain.
Well both lines look pretty good for the Texans. Arian looks fine. Matt seems a little outa sync. KJ got burned several times - a good thing that Garcon dropped some passes. But he did pretty well there at the end of the half. Nothing like learning against Peyton.
Rackers gets us some good energy. Being able to trust your kicker goes a long way to winning the game.
Now in the second half, let`s run the ball more and take care of the football... an int on D would be nice as well.

It doesnt matter, how many times you see a QB and WR pull up short to let a CB run into a WR when the CB is not looking back...it will be called pass interference if the ball is in the endzone (field of play). I want Jackson to stay in there b/c this is good learning stuff, he will get better.

"First and Goal" is not something you're supposed to immediately start thinking of by its initials.
NO RACKERS. TD ONLY.

They cannot stop the run. Keep ramming it into the middle of their defense.

Nice to see Manning on the sidelines with his best Dom Capers expression on.
Half of the 2nd quarter is gone. 7:43 remains.
This is smart football. This is how you beat Manning.
Do this the rest of the game, and it's lights out.

Yeah, he's padding his FFL points.
No one in my league knew who Foster was, they all thought Slaton was still our RB, hahah, so I started Foster today and I am not regretting it one bit.

Good drive. I would like to see a few more passes to keep the Defense honest. But it is disheartening for a d to get the ball run down your throat and be unable to do anything about it.

Gotta love Foster.
We could run the ball. Kubiak knew it. Our team knew it. They tried to hard to get off to a quick, early start in the 1st half, when most of us were screaming for them to run the ball and eat the clock. Finally they're starting to do it.
Btw, I'm loving the Foster and Slaton combo.
