Great news as long as they don't hire Rachel Maddow to replace him.

Seriously, I could see where his arrogant ways [as I percieve him to be] wore thin. Total guess and I wouldn't bet a dime on it, just a first thought.

:hurrah:

If they are trying to steer clear of controversial political figures, that should apply to those on the left as well as those on the right.

I think they are steering clear of controversial d-bags with massive egos whose best work was as an anchor on SportsCenter before they became too self-important. I thought he was pretty far left as far as your comment.

Awesome news! I never watched due to his idiocy. I'd change the channel, mute the tv or go do something at halftime. He's just one of those guys I want to punch in the face for no given reason. Like Randy in Step-Brothers who didn't like Brennan's face.

I agree. Good to see that D-bag go.

Yes, and YES! He was a far left wacko, the left's equivalent of Glenn Beck, or maybe Michael Savage. But worse than that, he was all the things you say, and a pompous windbag to boot.

When Ben Affleck mocks you on SNL, you know you are pompous D-bag

I haven't seen that show in years. For whatever reason I'm surprised they make fun at the lefty's. Hmmm, I like that.

I always liked him on Sportscenter, but that was like 15 years ago or so. Oh well, I guess this makes him the Worst Sportscaster in the World for today.

Olberman doesn't belong anywhere on tv, much less a sports show. This couldn't have happened any faster.

He galvanized himself too far left to appeal to an audience that mostly resides in red states.

Plus his tone and persona had a faux high society arrogance, even while mispronouncing players' names during his halftime segment. I'm sure he never caught the irony of this, but irony is lost on whacko liberals like Olbermann anyway.

:turtle::splits:....I still watched it, but the show went down hill for me when he got on there...He just didn't fit, kinda like dennis miller on the monday night crew..

Don't mind his show on MSNBC too much. As the liberal version of Limbaugh or O'Reilly he's great. As a sportscaster, not so much.

Now if NBC would just get rid of Bob Costas...
