Theres growing concern from University of North Carolina athletic department officials that star defensive tackle Marvin Austin will ultimately be suspended for his entire senior year due to alleged NCAA violations involving extra benefits from agents, middlemen and marketing representatives, according to sources with knowledge of the situation.

It's not just him. There's a big investigation going on involving 3 different schools and a bunch of players (Most of them still in college except for Pouncey).

This could be good for the Texans. Austin, as it stands no, is a top 20 pick. He has top 5 talent, but has not put it together on the field yet. If he gets suspended and goes the year without playing, his stock will plummet. Other, less talented, DTs will surpass him in the draft, leaving some team with a steal in the 2nd or 3rd round.

Because he has not done it on the field yet, his stock may plummet a lot more than that if he misses the entire year.

The kid has tons of talent but has never produced. Not the kind of guy I would want to draft, especially if he misses his senior year.
