The NFL has a new television partner in the Tribune Company, which announced today that it has purchased the over-the-air (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/06/03/tribune-company-gets-local-broadcasts-of-nfl-network-games/) local broadcast rights to NFL Network games.

When NFL games are shown nationally on cable, they're also shown over the air in the markets of the two teams playing so hometown fans who don't have cable can see them. The deal the Tribune Company announced today ensures that all of the NFL Network games will be shown on Tribune-owned TV stations in the markets where the Tribune Company owns a station.

Texans vs. Eagles, December 2, KIAH Houston and WPHL Philadelphia

This is great. It means I can bring more people to the big game and they can watch it in the RV!!!
