-INDIANAPOLIS (AP) Indianapolis Colts rookie cornerback Kevin Thomas injured his knee during practice last weekend and the third-round draft pick could miss the entire 2010 season.

The Colts issued a release saying Thomas was hurt during Sunday's final practice, which was closed to the media. The team did not provide details of the injury but did say Thomas has been scheduled for surgery.

It's a big blow to the Southern Cal alum, who was smiling last Friday after his first workout with Indy.

A little loss of depth, but will probably not be noticable to outsiders

they took him a round earlier than expected but he the talent to play in this league. I never wish for injurys even to divisional foes, hope he can recover fully.

Colts can handle losing anyone except # 18 and they'll have someone step up in their place without skipping a beat.

Couldn't have happened to a nicer team in the AFC...
