I know it is said time and again, but he is absolutly the the total package. Size, speed, agility, explosiveness, power, its all there.

did I just miss it because I was trying to do 2 things at once, or was the play Andre made against the dolphins where he rips the ball from over the cb's head not in the highlight film? To this day my favorite play in Texans history. A combination of the team needing a win, 4th down, and driving for the win.

Courtland Finnegan hates Andre Johnson. Is there a site that tracks how many times he got *****-slapped by Andre?

This guy is so good he made David Carr resemble a QB.

God. Imagine the Texans without AJ.

Could of been a possibility.

Thank you Detroit.

I like the play where he ran over Jerious Byrd twice. Thought it was very funny.

Somebody figure out how to send this to Dennison. Just after the 3 minute mark is a play the Texans need to have playing all thru Reliant - little drag route across the back of the endzone with perfect placement by Schaub such that it was virtually indefensible. Not AJ's glitziest catch but a TD machine.

AJ is awesome, but Schaub made some clutch throws to go with it. I hope they have a monster year together in 2010, they will both be on my fantasy football target list.

This is the only thing I can honestly thank Charley Casserly for but something tells me he only went with AJ because Charles Rogers was already off the board.

AJ is a unique talent. Has all the things you look for in a great WR. They don't come around often with all he offers.

Yup. 4 years with HWWNBN - no season over 1200 yds, 2 seasons under 1000 yds. 2 seasons with Schaub - both just shy of 1600 yds. The title to the thread is correct but the guy slinging the ball deserves some credit as well.

Pretty sure there was one left out. I think it was AJ's third year with the team (our worst year) that he caught a pass against the Bills, two DBs hit him simultaneously on left and right side, they both go down, and AJ just keeps on running. I'm thinking he caught it on like the 25 in the middle of the field and got hit about the 20....and scored.

Not saying that was as good as a few of the others, but definitely shoulda been in there. It's a top tener anyway.

Maybe I just missed it, but that was one of those I was looking for.

#1 has to be the 3-banger against the Cards. I'd love to actually see him top that.

05-06-2010, 11:36 AM
With the new training program, maybe he'll run over 3 LBs while carrying a DB on his back, LOL. :gamer:

We are pretty good at sending messages to free agents possibly coming to Houston and also welcoming new draft picks. How about a thank you to AJ for his heart and his attitude?

3 with Schaub, although the first year Dre had that leg injury. He was on pace to get about 1500 and 14 TDs though. This has got to be the year he gets his TDs.

Yeah I know - I just didn't include it because he only played half a season. But absolutely right. When Schaub and AJ have been together AJ has been a 1500+ yd WR.

Puuulleease! AJ is at most ok compared THE most dominate force the Texans have ever had...

wait for it....

WAIT FOR IT!

MATT FREAKING STEVENS BABY! MR. TEXAN HIMSELF....:texanbill:

AJ is a monster! Wish Schaubby could hit him more is stride though. Seemed in the highlight reel AJ had to wait on the ball allot. One of if not the best YAC receiver in the league. An absolute joy to watch.

2 things:

1. Not to be overly sensative, but Matt Stevens is paralyzed from either the neck down or chest down. Lets not poke TOO much fun at him.

2. AJ is fast. Running from the cops fast. It has to be hard to hit him in stride.

AJ is the baddest dude on the planet.

All the Fitzgerald talk the last couple of years pissed me off. Fitz is good, but AJ is the best!!!!

If AJ would have had a guy like Shaub his Rookie year on, he would probably break Rice's records.

He makes it look easy.

I went to the Arizona game last year when he blew up those three guys. All the Cardinals Fans, were like "oh shit, maybe he is better than Fitz!!!"

The Texans better keep him in a Texans Uniform his entire career or I will be pissed!!!

While we're at it, let's give coach some credit too. That passing attack he's crafted isn't exactly your run-of-the-mill offense.

There's a glut at WR...waiting. Andre Reed disagrees with you. In order for Andre Johnson to go in to the HOF he'll have to make a SB and play well in that game.
