This is pretty cool. His agent I guess has these reels of every single snap of Tyler Sheehan.

At first he looks horribly flat footed and then you start to see signs of what Kubiak sees.

I've been wondering when we'd try our hand at converting a TE to an OT. The T's we have now are both former TEs if I'm not mistaken.

Steve Maneri is probably the best blocking TE in the draft. I followed every Temple alumni since Terrance Knighton. Belive me Steve Maneri is really good. My favorite blocking TE!!

I am reading reports of Wyoming DE Mitch Unrein being signed. From watching a bits of a couple games, he seems like the kind of player the Texans would sign. Maybe tapped out athletically, but has a non-stop motor.

Ulatoski is a guy I had pegged us drafting in the 6th. So I'm thrilled with taking Smith in the 6th and picking uop Ulatoski undrafted. Hopefully we can develop both of them.

Question: How does Ulatoski compare to Studdard? I kind of suspect Ulatoski will be pushed inside to LG.... Studdard plays LG... how do they compare at that position?

Gotta say I'm only interested in Webster, S, Cincinatti.

There is vomit everywhere by the way. How this is an acceptable measure taken to fill S depth I don't know...oh wait...it isn't.

We've got Wilson, a journeyman, reaching the finish line, stopgap safety who is coming back from injury and others who have maxed out their NFL potential at "pretty bad". Safety beyond Pollard is thin, thin, thin and they did literally next to nothing to change that. There are some good picks in this draft and there are some bad ones that get compounded with the fact that the player isn't a safety. I guess I'm banging this drum too hard or too often or for completely no reason because it doesn't seem like many are concerned about the position. Here's to Eugene Wilson's health!

The Texans already have Rashard Butler, who the coaches seem to like as the swing-backup tackle. However, that is all the depth the Texans have at this position, so they do need a fourth tackle. Hopefully Ulatoski can step up and be that guy.

I was thinking the same thing. Normally we get our camp bodies from street FA's and early cutsw. This year it looks like they want more guys that can actually compete. Young and hungry is better than somone else's castoffs

I think I remember last year a lot of people complaining that we hadn't signed any undrafted guys right after the draft. The typical Day 1 of Free Agency / Day after the draft of NO REPORTS = FAILURE. This year does seem to have more signings more quickly.

Former Baylor long snapper Jonathan Weeks has signed a two-year contract with the Houston Texans after trying out for the team this week.

Weeks played for Baylor from 2004-07, and snapped for two-time Ray Guy Award winner punter Daniel Sepulveda. Weeks came to Baylor from Glendale, Ariz., where he was an offensive and defensive lineman for Mountain Ridge High School.

Alright, I need a break from the Cushing thread. So, I propose a little game. Which UDFAs do you think make the team (practice squad counts)? Everyone who wants to play, list your top 5. If your first guy makes it, 5 points. Second guy, 4 points. 3rd guy, 3points, and so forth Person with the most points wins.

Here is a list (per nepatriotsdraft.com) of the undrafted free agents the Texans signed:

Trey Stross, WR, Iowa
Nick Polk, WR, Indiana
Aaron Webster, S, Cinci
Isiaih Greenhouse, FB, NW St.
Jack Corcoran, FB, Rutgers
Kristian Matte, OL, Concordia
Tyler Sheehan, QB, Bowling Green
Mitch Unrein, DE, Wyoming
Adam Ulatoski, OL, Texas
Steve Maneri, OT/TE, Temple
Cole Pemberton, OT, CSU
London Crawford, WR, Arkansas
Pierre Singfield, CB, Arizona St.
Will Patterson, LB, Indiana
Malcom Sheppard, DE/DT Arkansas
Jason Watkins, OT, Florida

And my choices are:

1) Indiana FS Nick Polk
http://cache.daylife.com/imageserve/0gkb5mVcIF1z7/340x.jpg
2) Temple TE/OT Steve Maneri

3) Northwestern State ST/FB/LB Isiaih Greenhouse
https://admin.xosn.com/pics11/400/FX/FXULPKPRKDKRMKK.20080928034120.jpg
4) Colorado State OT Cole Pemberton

5) Wyoming DE Mitch Unrein
