When you watch football, which position do you watch the most, which position interests you the most?

Which player do you think is the best at that position?

It certainly is a close call, but I will have to go with female on top facing towards or away from me. Either way is good with me.

That is what we were talking about, right?

When the Texans are on defense I usually look at the defensive linemen. On offense I usually focus on Duane Brown....I can't watch Chris Myers.

I love watching DBs when I get the chance, i.e. when they're not cut out of the picture. Polamalu, I'm not sure he's the best, but he's the one I enjoy watching the most.

i kind of watch the pocket or the entire line. LT and DE are my favorite positions to watch.

Once I learned to watch "the trenches" my entire view of football and knowledge for how the game is played changed for the better.

Least favorite to watch would be WR unless it's a spectacular catch.

TIGHT END!!:) Seriously!! Ever since Billy Miller made the first TD for our Texans, at the HOF game, I have been a TE type of gal!! OD is my hero, and I cried right along with him when he got his booboo in Buffalo. Keeping my eye on James Casey hoping he developes into a top notch TE. It's definitely a FUN "position" to watch!:shetexan:

Depends... When were on "D" I watch the linebacker play. When we're on "O" I watch the linemen.

I like WRs & CB. I think it's the ultimate Chess match. The WR has everything going for him. The rules.. no touch after 5 yards?? C'mon.. & the DB has no idea when he is going to break.

Normally, I'm pulling for the CB... unless he's playing the Texans & AJ of course. Hands down, AJ is the best WR.

I know many of us have been excited about our rookie corners in years past only to shamelessly watch the sophomore slumps... but I think Quin is more real than the guys we've had past thru here.

I also know this won't be popular, but I like watching Cortland Finnegan. By no means do I think he's the best. But he is a fun player to watch, always giving 110%, and not backing down from anyone.

Scrappy little fellar.

You really have to almost train yourself not to watch the ball. T.V. makes it really hard to do but once you figure it out it really open things up for you because the ball is basically going to be where nobody is.

That's kind of the idea for the offense. They want to get the ball to somebody in open space so they can run for a touchdown.

Figuring out how they get into open space and how the QB has time to look around the field and figure out which guy is going to be in open space is really what the game is. An NFL QB is going to be accurate (forgive my generalization Vince) enough to throw the ball to a guy and he's going to catch it. But the decision making is based on him being smart enough of course ( again, sorry Vince) and having enough time to look the field over and choose who to throw it to. The trenches is where all of that is decided. It's 10 guys on offense trying to keep this 1 guy from getting killed. Defense is 11 guys trying to get past these 10 offensive guys and kill the 1 guy with the ball. That war is what it's all about. It's brilliant too because the D has the O outnumbered!

It's amazing how stellar Schaub can look when he has time and how rattled he can look when he doesn't. Even Manning can look this way.

God I love this game!

I like watching the running game much more than the passing game.

I'm especially fond of watching FBs stick their head in while lead blocking, and you can throw pulling interior lineman in there too.

On defense I like to watch DTs go to work.

I've always appreciated the linemen, of either side. Without good linemen, your team is going nowhere. And good linemen can sometime make up for the weakness in other positioins behind them.

So true... the first year I started attending the game I learned there was so much that I was missing. I try to watch everything away from the ball, like you said, that's where the game is.

If it's around the ball, you'll see it again on the replay.

You don't get to see the WR/CB battle on TV.

It has been a long time wish of mine that we could buy the coaches film through the NFL. The wide angle versions and the endzone versions. I would absolutely jump on that opportunity.

They are getting there. The NFL is clearly making an effort to educate the fans more and more.

Absolutely. There have been far more great hits that we have not seen. Blocking is brutal. Possibly more punishing than a WR vs a LB, SS, and CB in consecutive order for a TD. Imagine seeing HIM block away from the camera.

I heart Andre Johnson.

Thank God for Tivo/DVR machines! It's so much easier to watch things like interior line play. It seems like a lifetime ago that I was fumbling around with VHS tapes.
