The Buffalo Bills will be entertaining offers for former Pro Bowl running back Marshawn Lynch(notes) heading into next week’s NFL draft, multiple sources have told Yahoo! Sports.

While the Bills have not been actively shopping Lynch around the league, two sources in contact with the Bills said Buffalo would be open to moving him if a package included a second-round pick. And though no dialogue has taken place between the Bills and potential suitors, the aforementioned sources say the Seattle Seahawks, who hold the 28th pick in the second round (60th overall), have had internal discussions about acquiring Lynch.

The match would seem to be a comfortable fit: Seahawks coach Pete Carroll is familiar with Lynch after facing him three times while coaching USC, and Lynch’s best friend – former Cal teammate Justin Forsett(notes) – carries a portion of the load in the Seattle backfield. In addition, the new Seattle regime apparently isn’t sold on current starter Julius Jones(notes) as the long-term answer in the backfield.

A two-time 1,000-yard rusher, Lynch has favored a trade out of Buffalo since losing his starting role to Fred Jackson(notes) last season. Lynch was suspended the first three games of the 2009 season for violating the league’s personal conduct policy, stemming from a guilty plea for a misdemeanor gun charge. After losing his starting role last season, the 2007 first-round pick has failed to show up for offseason workouts with the Bills. However, he isn’t subject to fines by the team until he misses a mandatory event, and the Bills won’t hold their mandatory offseason mini camp until June 23-25.

NO

Lynch's value is in the 4th-5th round range

I'm hearing that if the Bills don't get that 2nd, they won't deal Lynch. Which is what will happen.

Not just no but hell no. I would rather have Tate, Dwyer or Gerhart in the second than that bum.

(lets out a long sigh)

(blinks eyes several times)

A 2nd rounder for Lynch?

LOL. The Bills are doomed. They are the east coast version of the Raiders, but with less money to crap away.

Jiminy Christmas. I wouldn't touch Lynch at all, and especially not for a 2nd rounder. They're hitting the crack pipe if they desire a 2nd rounder for him.

I'd be scoring with Rachel Bilson sooner than seeing this trade pulled off by Ralph Wilson

The thread title needs to be changed to, "The Bills are on crack for thinking they can get a 2nd rounder for Lynch".

2/3 seasons had 1,000+ yards and still is a young talented player.

I probably wouldn't do a second but I would pull the trigger for a 3rd.

I'd like Fred Jackson.

Yet another reason why taking a running back with a high pick is usually the wrong move. RBs are a dime a dozen in the NFL. Other positions: not so much.

Personally, I wouldn't trade a 7th for that dumbass. Heck, I wouldn't even bring him in if he were cut. That's just my opinion, of course.

Never. Lynch is not a "He'll never set foot in my locker room" guy yet but he's right there. His "value" right now is in the reclamation project range not the second round pick range.

Seriously, he's at that point where if the Bills cut him and he maybe signed a one year deal with another, less risk-adverse team and kept his nose clean you might talk to him following that season but still think twice about signing him.

The Bills are dealing with their own little version of reality there.

You dont get to "sell high" when your guy is coming off a 450 yard, 3.8 ypc kind of season. They are nuts and would bel ucky to get a 4th

Absolutly not. As I have said befor, there is a character flaw to overlook, then there are guys who truly are too stupid to clean their shit up. He is B. This guy is a joke and will be out of the NFL in 2-3 years.

I'd like Fred Jackson.

This. I like him alot. He is a pretty damn good RB.

I wouldn't let this POS wash my truck, let alone play for my team. He is a world class loser.

co-signed - he has been a train wreck off the field up here and barely adequete on the field, which is unacceptable considering how much the Bills invested in him.

Nope....the only way I would take Lynch is if they released him. I wouldn't give up a 7th for that guy because he is really not very good and he doesn't appear to have his head on straight.
