the tattoo of the Texans Logo on his hand from (I think) the '08 draft? I always wished they had brought him in as an UDFA and give him a shot.

Wasn't that Charles Godfrey? He was a third round pick of the Panthers.

It would've been nice to draft Godfrey...

I believe it was Godfrey. I think he went to the Panthers. I don't know, I just hit "Reply" without stopping to read anyone else's response.

Does that guy start with Carolina? Would be cool to have a guy that was actually a fan of the team.

His name was Godfrey. His name was Panthers.

I think we got Antwaan Molden instead. So. We got nothing instead.

Yes it would. Instead we took Antwaun Molden who played in 4 games and got a total of 2 tackles. WOW, good thing we got those 2 tackles last year.:bubbles:

Yes he only got 2 tackles last year. The year before he had 20 basically only playing as a special teams star. Dude has the athleticism. Just needs to show up healthy.

In two seasons, Godfrey has started 27 games, gotten 106 tackles, 5 forced fumbles, 2 interceptions.

Molden has 5 tackles and a fumble recovery.

Yeah.

Ooops.

Molden = Kubiak's Joppru.

Sheesh..... I don't expect the FO to get it right all the time, but damn, it would appear that they wiffed on this one.

My question is - if you have a guy that his your logo tatooed (sp?) on his hand - how do you NOT draft him?

Rookie year Molden excelled on ST's and broke his leg in week 17.

It took him all of last year to get healthy.

I have high hopes for Molden this year.

He's just a year behind in his development due to injury.

I sure hope you are right! And uf Bennett has his personal problems behind him, perhaps he can return to his rookie form. Along with a high draft pick, all of a sudden we look pretty good in the secondary.

If wishes was fishes we'd all have some fried....

Kubiak needs to pull Bennett and Molden aside during OTA's and tell them that if they don't get off their butt and start making serious contributions then 2010 will be their last training camp with the Texans. I can see one or both of them being cut at the end of 2010 training camp.

Well said, and I agree. He has done it before. They both need to find a way to stay on the field!

Because the Panthers picked him before we could.

A CB recovering from a broken leg... does not bode well for someone hoping to make a living largely based on having good legs.

I would kill to see Gilbert Gottfried on the 53 man roster just so he'd do press conferences. "And what's with this Bud Adams schmuck?!"

They should be tied at the wrist and duel it out like the knife fight in West Side Story, while someone plays "Beat It" on a jambox.
