He's a pretty tough runner. And can you really go wrong with Huggy Bear's son?

We should look at getting younger not older.

He's the one that Cush body-slammed in the end zone right?

I'm dissapointed we cut Fargas, he was one of the few remaining players w/ heart on the Raiders. I still believe he has another 2-3 years left, I'm sure whatever team picks him up will get him for cheap.

You should be dissapointed, Huggy Bear Jr. was/is a nice back...

*shows age by knowing who Huggy Bear was*

I commented on this, in the other thread that's still in the TexansTalk section.

I'm good with it. Out of all the junk that's been on that team, I've always made a point to watch and appreciate what Fargas has been able to do on it.

He wasn't supposed to do anything. He was just "some dude's son," but he hung in there season after season. For a reason.

Scoop him up and give him a chance.

How old is this guy? I do recall alot of us wanting him in the draft a few years after we became a franchise. He can't be that old.

He's 30, it's been 3 years since he averaged over 4 ypc and he has a career total of 10 TDs.

Do y'all really want him over 23 tds in the last 2 years LT?

I really do like Fargas but he wouldn't really be an upgrade over Moats.

Depends on the relative prices.

And, having one doesn't mean we don't get the other, too.

It makes it less likely but it doesn't categorically rule it out.

I've always liked Fargas, the guy plays so hard. I'd be supportive of bringing him in under a reasonable contract. I wouldn't crown him the starter but let him compete with Slaton, Foster, Moats and Draft Pick.

On the plus side, he doesn't fumble the ball very much. Take a look at the fumble:carry ratios...

J Fargas- 1:83
A Foster- 1:54
C Brown- 1:52
S Slaton- 1:40
R Moats- 1:34

Also have to realize that he has been in Oakland his whole career. That will make your numbers look worse.
