The National Football Post's Aaron Wilson reports the Patriots are the front-runners to land Anquan Boldin.

Say this for the Patriots: they know a good value when they see one. At the cost of a third-rounder, Boldin is a no-brainer. His next team has him under contract cheaply for the 2010 season with a year to work out a contract. If no deal can be reached, the cost was still just a third-rounder for one season of a possible difference-maker.

This is a trade but sure, they can move it if they want. And no longer the Pats. Ravens are in the lead. Could mean good news on the Walter front?

Adam_Schefter Done deal: Arizona trades WR Anquan Boldin and a 2010 fifth-round pick to Baltimore for Ravens 2010 third- and fourth-round picks.

Nope, Boldin to Baltimore looks like a done deal. This helps us with the Kevin Watler situation though. Now it's pretty much between us and Cincinnati instead of Cincy and Baltimore.

Seems to be a good move by the Ravens, IF they can negotiate a reasonable contract with him and THAT may well be the fly in the ointment.

The new deal's done.

Boldin received a new four-year, $28 million deal with Baltimore in which $10 million is guaranteed. He was to set to earn $3 million next season, the last of the four-year, $22.5 million deal he signed with Arizona after the 2005 season.

Has the look of the Bidwell's being the Bidwell's and dumping expenses. The guys on NFLN kind of indicated that they thought that was the case.
