If Colt McCoy wins it for Texas....will some of the VY love shift to Colt?

Will there be a Austin market for Colt in St. Louis (example)?

Longhorn fans, my inquiring mind would like to know.

Colt doesn't walk on water. VY does...sorry.

Come to Austin and humm a few bars of that. If you are any Longhorn in Austin you are granted walk on water privileges and can drive while intoxicated.

Ya, that will last until someone gets killed. Too bad thats what has to happen.

In that case they'll have to get blacked out when the Jags do... so really who gives a damn? :kitten:

No, not at all. It will be just another young QB in the NFL that Longhorn fans like myself will root for. VY will still be embraced the same way he always has. Colt will be embraced as well.

For the record though, I don't think that Colt will be a good NFL QB at all. I hope that I'm wrong though. I'll always root for Colt though. He's the man.

Eh, that would be kind of funny, but I'm not worried about that one bit. The Jags will take Tebow way before they even think about Colt.

I think McCoy can have a good career in the NFL - I do not however think that he will have instant success , he needs a couple seasons behind a veteran QB before he's ready.

The folks from Tuscola, Texas say that if the Texans don't draft Colt , they hope he goes to the Titans so they can root for Colt and VY at the same time . :gun:

There's no way Colt will have the cult-like following that VY has, and it has nothing to do with football, really.

Probably so. I remember the VY love fest didn't explode until UT beat USC so if Colt has a great game and the Horns win, I expect it to get stupid around here, despite the Texans already having a pro bowl quarterback.

It is why I will be rooting for the Tide, to be perfectly honest.

No it does not , in fact I heard yesterday on the radio that VY would be perfect for the Texans offense because it's what he ran at Texas . I thought it was the spread at Texas but that's just me .

I'll tell you who loses in all this is Matt Schaub . He's going to hit 4500 yds this year and still won't be as good as VY to some .

Now hear me out.

Houston takes Earl Thomas, JAX takes McCoy, and Indy takes Kindle.

Texans fans in Austin are guaranteed to see 8 games a year!!! lol

Cause we know that $$$ and numbers are all that keye are interested in.

No it does not ....

The VY lovefest is all wrapped up in the fact that he's from Houston, played at UT, we extended DC, the team had the #1 pick, and VY said he wanted to play in Houston with all his heart.

Colt has none of that going on except for the UT thing.

I always heard that VY ran the zone read at UT. I think it's a viariation of the spread.

I'd be happy to let and X's and O's guy take over from here.

We have Frank Okam and Kasey Studdard - is that not good enough for some? = P

I'm not an X's and O's guy either . It struck me funny that he went from an offense catered toward his talents to being perfect for an offense that Schaub is doing well in . You know ... because their so much alike .

VY started with the gay and lesbian community first...maybe Colt will follow? :slapfight:
